Well, the 2010 Halloween is just a couple days from us. Anyone going as anything special?
I at first thought that I was going to be phoning it in, but then I found myself with everything I needed for what's turned out to actually be a pretty decent Luigi costume (he's so much cooler than Mario, I think.)

I'll be taking the kids around the neighborhood in a Marty McFly costume.

I'll be taking the kids around the neighborhood in a Marty McFly costume. Win. As for me, I will be going as myself, as I have done for a few years now. Only this year, there will be more booze involved.

I went to the Halloween Bacchanal at Club Necropolis on Wednesday night dressed as a Jack the Ripper victim (Elizabeth "Long Liz" Stride, to be specific): I'm going to another party Saturday night, and I'm gonna wear more or less the same outfit, though I might just skip the blood (because it'll get too sticky when I'm dancing) and be a general Victorian prostitute. By the way, this dress has an awesome bustle that I wish showed up in the picture.

I'm going as some type of FBI Special Agent (aka Man in Black-type). I'll have pics up later if it works out.

I'll be taking the kids around the neighborhood in a Marty McFly costume. OK, I give up. What the hell is a Marty McFly costume? I mean I know who Marty McFly is, but how do you recognizably dress as him?

When he goes trick-or-treating, all the people who answer the door will just yell at him, "Good night, future boy!", and slam the door in his face.

White, patterned collared shirt under a jean jacket under an orange down vest, with collars up. Jeans that are a tad too small with white Nikes. On a skateboard, with mirrored sunglasses. Kinda like this (except, you know, me): And I am prepared to play Johnny B. Goode if I have to.

My Luigi costume worked out surprisingly well. I thought it would look cheap and easy (which it was!), but it looked genuinely Luigian. Just don't try going back in time. If I dressed as Marty McFly, I'd do it by wearing "something inconspicuous" as the Doc might say.

Maybe Marty McFly is dress as YOU so as not to cause attention.
Me? I went as a lumberjack. I didn't need to do any special preparation. I already own most of the trappings. It was fun carrying my splitting maul around with me all night.
