I've been fighting off a pretty bad cold lately so I spent most of the day in bed watching dvds of "The Fugitive" (Season 4, Volume 1--color looks amazing btw) and "My Three Sons" (my Season 5 bootleg). I generally go for 60s shows that will kind of wash over me ("Twilight Zone" and "Hitchcock Presents/Hour" are also good choices for me)
What tv shows do you like to watch when you're at home sick in bed?

Good topic. The shows I'll put in when I'm sick are mostly ones from my childhood, shows like Three's Company and Cheers, but also including stuff I watched reruns of, like The Brady Bunch. And though I haven't been sick since I got them I get the feeling I'll enjoy The Outer Limits (both the original and the '90s version) when I'm home sick. Also MST, but only if I'm not too sick.

I find the droning, repetitive narrative of CNN Headline News the perfect thing when I'm *really* sick. It's nothing too engaging, the announcers usually have very deep, soothing voices (even the ladies!), if I miss an important word or phrase it's very likely I'll still be there the next hour to catch it again, and maybe my addled brain can make more sense of it. I don't have to change any discs, but there are too many commercials.
If I'm not too sick, Arrested Development, Northern Exposure, or MASH.

I used to watch Hunter, the Equalizer, and the Commish when I was sick as a kid. So it's quite odd that these days I'll sometimes slap on one of the CSIs, since there's usually one playing on some channel.
But mostly I put in a nice long nature documentary set. David Attenborough has nursed me through many an illness.

Whatever's on, be it The Price Is Right, SportsCenter, the local news, Seinfeld, even Wheel of Fortune or Let's Make a Deal (the Wayne Brady version, NOT the Monty Hall version.)

Well I have been a very healthy person for the most part so I do not have a so called "go to" list for when I am sick. But back in 2003 I was quite under the weather and I watched my entire World at War dvd collection then followed by the German movie Stalingrad ! Sooo death, destruction, war, death, and more death yikes !!

I tend to just leave the TV on. Channel 4 repeating a couple of Frasiers and an Everybody Loves Raymond in the morning is a great start to the day. From there it's whatever DVD is closest to the bed so I don't need to get up. At the moment that would be Seasons 3-6 of Curb Your Enthusiasm and Season 2 of Flight of the Conchords. Shame I haven't been sick recently o make my way through them.
