I was sad to hear this. At least he got to go off with a bang, cinematically speaking, as he was in two fantastic movies this year (Inception and The Town).

It's sad this thread only had three responses. Pete was fantastic. Just today I was watching The Lost World: Jurassic Park, and I really studied his performance because I knew he had passed on earlier this year. He is bloody terrific in that movie.
His death came as quite a shock to me. I always looked forward to seeing him pop up in whatever movie I pop in. It's sad that he won't anymore. I always appreciated you Mr. Postlethwaite. You were a legend in my book.

If my own experience is any indication, people forget to look in this sub forum. My eyes just sort of ignore what's above the normal Coleman Francis threads. Anyway, Postlewaite was a terrific actor. He had a presence and way of speaking that was made for acting; the type of actor who could basically act the same in every role, yet succeed because he's so uniquely awesome. One of my favorite performances of his was In the Name of the Father with Daniel Day Lewis, a great flick that I'd never even heard of prior to watching.
