I don't know, I measure a movie's badness by how painful it is to watch. If its unintentionally hilarious, its better than a movie thats unintentionally boring. So PRINCE OF SPACE is a far better movie than MANOS because its unintentionally funny. Being campy makes a movie more watchable too. -al27 I agree Prince of Space has a goofy charm.

I agree Prince of Space has a goofy charm. Prince of Space caused me to walk around for a week talking like the Phantom Dictator of Krankor.

If looked at seriously, yeah, Plan 9 is awful.
...But if looked at as a comedy, it's one of the funniest movies ever made! In some scenes, the comic timing is so perfect that it almost seems like it was intended to be funny. (I know it wasn't, but it just seems that way.)

Yeah, if you go by how painful a movie is, then Manos is worse than Plan 9.
But I don't use that measurement, which is why I probably will still feel that Plan 9 is worse. The only things that come close then would be modern comedies that cause pain.

I like what Tim Burton did with "Plan Nine from Outer Space" in his film "Ed Wood" If you haven't seen the original Plan Nine, I'd see Ed Wood first, then rent the original.

You know, for being as much of a Tim Burton fan as I am, you'd think that I'd've watched Ed Wood by now.

It needs to be released. And I mean yesterday!
Seriously, I know some guys back in Chicago. Should I call them up and have them go to work on the studio head's kneecaps?
Bill Murray, Johnny Depp, Martin Landau, and Tim Burton all doing scenes from movies like Bride of the Monster/Atom, Plan 9, and Glen or Glenda. It's a mockery of all that's right with the world that this hasn't been released on DVD yet.
Pull the string!!

Maybe they pulled it because it wasn't good enough yet and it will eventually be the bestess DVD ever.

Hey, I bought Plan 9, I haven't watched it yet, but you should look at the back of that DVD, they talk about how crappy the movie is, I guess thats its main selling point. I'll be sure to post again with my thoughts once I actually watch it.

(Although I have yet to see his latest.) Landau’s performance as a washed up and strung out Bela Lugosi is particularly inspired. The man plays Lugosi better than Lugosi ever did, if that makes any sense. I also recommend watching “Ed Wood” before viewing Plan 9. I just think it’s nice to know the back story when viewing the movie that would become Ed Wood’s “Stairway to Heaven.”

In regards to Ed Wood being his best film:
I've not seen Ed Wood yet. But I have seen Big Fish. If Ed Wood's better than Big Fish, then any delay to an Ed Wood DVD would be a travesty nearly as bad as not releasing Casablanca or Lawrence Of Arabia.
