I started Godzilla Singular Point, and Jesus.... people like this? So far it's been a 2 hour physics lesson, and it's boring me to tears - but then people actually enjoyed the wordy Shin Godzilla, so I guess I have a different idea of what makes a fun Godzilla movie (and it's NOT endless talk, talk, talk, talk!)

Wish Godzilla would hurry his ass up and make an appearance.

I don't know about "like." Most of the response I've heard has been pretty mute, like it's just something that's there.

I haven't watched it yet, but it's going to take effort to be worse than the anime trilogy.

The grades and reviews at the movie site I frequent have been glowing, but I am curious to see if that holds, with more people seeing it.

I will say that the work on the monsters is good (though they are smaller in size). Jet Jaguar looks goofy with spindly legs, but maybe he'll get more upgrades.

I hope it's not all science talk, and by the end, once they've established that stuff, they can set that aside and focus on story, character, and Kaiju.

And by the end, yes - so, so much better than the anime trilogy.

I wish they'd have cut down on the science gobbledygook, and other wordy stuff (the text messages, which were difficult to keep up with, because they went by so fast and the subtitles were bouncing all over the screen - just summarize and move on). Nevertheless, while the minutiae annoyed, when it shuts up long enough to let the story flow naturally, and allow the Kaiju do their thing, it's quite the grabber. The creature designs are different, but well done, and I liked Jet.

I don't want to spoil anything, but yeah, after a bumpy start it finished up nicely. Not great, but decent enough.
