I would have cared about this 12 years ago. Ratty G speaks the truth. I own the first ten seasons. I can't say I've cared about any of the episodes after season 10. The Simpsons was great in its day, it truly was. My brother-in-law contends that The Simpsons is "like a fine wine, it's only getting better with age". I vehemently disagree. I don't know if I'm no longer the target demographic, or the show's writing has changed, but it doesn't register as funny to me as often as it used to. If it is to end, let it end in a fashion of its choosing. Get some of the old writers out of mothballs for it. Let's be classy about it. Fox owes it that much at least. Were it not for The Simpsons, FOX probably wouldn't have been around very long.

Now maybe Fox can use the savings to hire back some of their original writers.

It seems "The Simpsons" will NEVER End!

To me, The Simpsons should have ended about 5 or so years ago.
Don't get me wrong, the first 10-11 seasons were great. After that though, eeeeeeh....it got to be hit and miss (mostly miss) for me...

I was watching one of the Treehouse of Horror eps recently, and it struck how much better the show was a few years back. I think it should end. It's on oxygen as it is. Let it die a dignified death.
