I stopped in my tiny little local hardware store awhile back, and while I was walking around, the woman who'd been working at the paint desk suddenly yelled "Oh, that deserves a high five!" and walked over to me. I had no idea what was up until she pointed to my shirt, which has the Deep 13 logo on it. So that was awesome, and only the second time anyone's recognized it around here.
I'm duping her a copy of a few eps because she says she only has some of the official releases. So that'll be a random surprise from a random dude. But I recognize her from having worked in a few different stores around town since I've lived here. Making friends...

A pleasant surprise in the mail today...got a refund check from the hospital...apparently I overpaid on a bill. Works for me.

i'm flying out of here this weekend to spend christmas with my parents and was in a quandary about where to leave my car. the airport is two hours away and since the flight leaves out pretty early, i had decided to get a hotel room and use the park & fly deal. but i have two cousins that live in the same city, so one of them is going to generously let me crash at her house, give me a ride to and from the airport and let me leave my car at their place during the time i'm gone. very cool of them, especially since we haven't spoken in years. will save me around $100 at the very least.
