she was never my favorite character when i watched the show, but it's sad she lost the battle. i had stopped watching by the time her character was replaced on the show, but i thought it was weird - shows don't typically do that anymore. does anyone know if it was because of her addiction problems?

I think it was. I think she was in rehab back then, too. Drugs really ruin people's lives. Pretty sad.
I liked the early That 70's Show eps, though they ran out of ideas fast - Kelso was TOO dumb and they just sort of focused on that too much instead of the rest of what made it kinda cute. Lisa (Laurie) was a good foil for brother Topher (Eric). It's too bad she couldn't overcome that and go on to other things.

yeah, she was good when used sparsely in the show, i thought. once she got more involved with eric and the others it kind of changed it for me. and i agree the early shows were better - by the end it felt like they didn't even try to make it a '70's themed show. and why do shows insist on making the kind of dumb characters complete idiots by the end? kelso, randy from my name is earl, homer from the simpsons and joey from friends. maybe i just watch waaay too much tv.
anyway, r.i.p., lisa. hopefully you are using too much eyeshadow now in heaven.

I never watched That 70's Show much either, but it is sad when someone loses the battle with drugs. RIP.
