I don't know aboot anyone else, but I'm sick of movies that are "based on a true story"...I just saw a preview of Hidalgo and the first thing that popped into my mind was Sandstorm, sandstorm!!
Based on a true story, sheesh, how aboot coming up with something original, eh?

I saw a preview for that movie about the Alamo and it looked alright. I just went to the Alamo this past Christmas and now I kinda wanna see the film. Hidalgo on the other hand can kiss my big hairy ass because me and sandstorms just don't mix.

I recently saw a movie based on a true story. What was it' s name? Let's see... uhh... Scooby Doo! It was so tragic the way Scrappy was treated.

Based on a true story, sheesh, how aboot coming up with something original, eh? Once I saw a movie on cable and the rating was only 1+ stars, and it was based on a true story and I thought, "Wow, that must have been a bad true story" . But anyway, usually movies based on true stories are all dramatized and Hollywood-ed so that they are less exciting than they would have been. They'll replace a ugly guy in real life with an hot star. You don't really see the real-ness, just glamour based on a true story.

I hated that one with the science teacher who becomes a Major League pitcher. Then again I hate baseball.

BLASPHEMY!!!
Are you a communist, too?
Nightfal, I'm afraid you have no soul. You should see a doctor. Or, failing that, a clergyman of your choice.
Hating baseball....that's like hating chocolate...or hating puppies...or liking Coleman Francis movies.
Our generation has failed. There is no sky.

I think the true story genre has officially been destroyed now that The Rock is starring in the remake of the based-on-a-true-story Walking Tall.

Baseball is the most boring TELEVISED sport, but watching it at a stadium is cool and playing it is even better!

Nightfal has a point. Baseball is the most boring TELEVISED sport, but watching it at a stadium is cool and playing it is even better! I'm surprised people still call it a sport. I consider it to be a game. There is a difference between the two. I believe that sports should have movement and contact. Baseball is crotch grabbing and spitting. Not too different from a dance club. Just no hot chicks. Servo

Baseball is a sport, because two teams compete for the highest score. To me, any game that follows this is a sport.
Baseball is awesome, because when you get those close games, the suspense is killer.

They have a movie channel for True Stories. Sometimes a channel might make a movie based on a true story, and they call it an original movie! That's not original, that's just plain lazy!
