I never read any of his books but always enjoyed the movies based on his work. And heck, I still think Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon is one of the best video games ever developed. I preferred the original GR to any of the Call of Duty games.

Tell your brother-in-law his team did a great job. If I'm right GR wasn't even based on any of Clancy's books (although it was developed by Red Storm, which I believe Clancy had a hand in founding.)

The Hunt for Red October and Red Storm Rising were two of my favorite books. RIP Mr. Clancy.
