To celebrate the board's Tenth Anniversary, this month's contest is going to feature something a little different.
And that Something is two winners and two prizes!
One of the prizes is the usual Ten MST3k DVDs from Skyroniter at mst3kvideos.com.
The other prize is a priceless, genuine, never-used, official MST3k Coffee Mug, pictured here:
The contestant who wins this month's contest gets first choice of these two wonderful items, and second prize gets the other prize.
Now onto the contest.
That's right folks, it's a picture contest again.
I'm going to post a picture of someone who appeared in a movie that MST3k featured, and whoever guesses the identity of the person in the photo FIRST gets a point. At the end of the contest, I will randomly select one of the correct responses to determine the winner. So while it pays to identify as many of the people in the photographs as possible, even one point can win!
Here are some ground rules and clarifications:
The person featured in the photograph will have been in one of the movies MST3k featured. They may not have been in a starring role, but they will be someone who would have been impossible to miss upon watching said episode, according to my own twisted perspective.
Each respondent is allowed one response per photo per message. If you miss your guess, you may not make another guess on that particular photo until another person has made a guess. This is to prevent a response that haphazardly names actors: eg."That's the guy who played Torgo! It's Joe Don Baker! No, it's Peter Graves!" Any message that violates this rule will be disqualified, even if you have the correct response.
A correct response will have the name of the actor or the name of the character said actor played in the film MST3k featured, if said identification is clear enough (ie. NOT "It's John!"). Giving the name of the film featured is encouraged and appreciated, but is not necessary.
The purpose of this contest is to amuse you, not stump you, so anyone criticizing me for making some of these photos "TOO EASY" will be automatically disqualified. This will undoubtedly result in my own disqualification at some point during the contest. This rule will not be enforced, but is only included to remind everyone not to be a dork about these things.
I will try to post a new photo each day or after the previous photo has been identified, whichever is earlier.
So here's #1:
Good luck everyone!
