He was a Pardo my life for so long ....
Sorry.
He was one of those old time performers who really seems to have been open to new comedy and new ideas, always getting in on the fun of SNL (at least when I watched it, from the beginning until about 1982 or 3 when I gave up on it as no longer my thing).
Lorne Michaels once said that as long as Don Pardo was there, that's what kept him young. So I assume right now he's shrivelling up in some dark corner like the Witch in the Wizard of Oz.
