On the contrary, Moe Howard is pretty awesome.

I waited eight hours in line at Howard's "Miss America" book signing in Brentwood. It was a big media circus at which I saw Jessica Hahn, Martha Quinn, Fabio (my MST-inspired Halloween costume that year), Uzo, Doug Bady, and Larry "Ratso" Sloman.
Twelve years later, I was in New York to see Opie & Anthony in their big studio, when they could have audiences. Turned out that was when they were in trouble for Homeless Charlie. I followed them on their walkover (you could see me on CNN that night) but couldn't get in, so a bunch of us (including Stalker Patti, Davey Mac's fiancee Casey, and Travis's girl Lisa) were in the Brooklyn Diner listening to the show in nervous anticipation. Opie: "You're mom's... big day is coming up, so get her something nice."
That night I went to Jim Norton's comedy show at Caroline's. Opie was there, and I gave him my support. Next day I was at HTG's free speech rally in Union Square, where I met Ron Bennington and Black Earl. What a weekend.
I stopped listening to Stern because he was becoming increasingly less funny and not wanting to work. I still listen to Opie & Jim, and catch best of Ant's show on YouTube, but I think they were going through similar aging pains even before Ant was canned.

Oh, I didn't mean Moe. He's cool. I was talking about Johnson. His hotels are not up to my standards.

I think they are smart bringing friends of the show in to fill the third chair. Opie is a middle aged, married man with a wife and kids. Less shock. The eating food after roaches crawled over it was fairly lame. But I think they are doing well as a topical talk/comedy show. Jim is over the top but all in all, it's a whole new deal. But I still enjoy. I'd love to meet Ron. Been listening to him since crackling am a couple decades ago. Not paid attention since the channel switch.

Ron himself is great, it's everyone he's surrounded with (Fez, Pepper, Shelby, Jeffrey Gurian) who leave a lot to be desired.
