What theater will you be seeing Rifftrax Live: Sharknado 2?
I'll be seeing it at the Showcase Cinema in Dedham, MA.

I'm disappointed that, it seems, the Rialto in Westfield, NJ is no longer showing Rifftrax events. So I'll be seeing it at the Regal Commerce multiplex on Rt. 1 in North Brunswick, NJ.

I don't know if I'll be able to afford it, sadly. But... if I see it, it'll probably be at the Cinemark in Valparaiso, Indiana. It's where I've seen all my Rifftrax Lives so far.

I went to the LIVE event in Nashville for The Room, but I will be at my local theater for this because its far too hot to stand out in front of the Belcourt Theater in the sticky, hot Nashville sun. Luckily (and oddly for my culturally devoid town) we have two theaters nearby that show it. Very excited!
I wasn't at all looking forward to the first Sharknado, due to the "trying-to-be-cheesy" aspect of the movie, but I couldn't have been more wrong, cause it was a blast! I never should have doubted those nutty nuts at Rifftrax.

I'm a little miffed at this one. The recording they had cut out after Ian Ziering made out with Vivica A. Fox at the stadium (lucky bastard) and the earliest they could put us back on track was during some sequence in a subway. Huge buzzkill. Everybody got readmission passes, but I missed out on a huge chunk of riffing.
From what I DID see of the show, movie was worse than the first, riffing was better than the first. Constant laughs.

To me they seemed a bit off but I attributed that to the heat in the theater (looked very hot there). But the movie more than made up for the lulls in the riffing itself. Our sound went out for about a minute or two before the short started and into the first minute of the short. A guy in our theater got up and went tell management while declaring out loud "I guess I'm the designated guy to inform the theater." because he was the one who informed them of our sound issues for The Room show back in May. It seems to have something to do with the screen room they put us in. We used to be on the other side of the theater and we never had a problem. The last two shows have been on the opposite end of the theater and both times we had sound issues.

We saw the whole thing here in Seattle! This one, I think, was a little harder to do because the original Sharknado was just a silly, dopey thing with no attachments, whereas Sharknado 2 seemed to feel obligated to crack wise on itself all the time, which made the guys' job a bit harder. My biggest laughs came with the "there was a joke there Monday" bits with Subway Jared. But they did a good job and had a fab time pointing out how tornadoes and superstorms just kinda meander around New York.
Also, that short? That horrible, possessed kid? That voice was dubbed, right? No actual child speaks with that lack of pacing and affect, right? That kid didn't spend all his downtime on set staring in a mirror and muttering "redrum" over and over, right? TERRIFYING.

I really enjoyed it... The short was one of the funniest things I think they've ever done! One of my new favorites! The movie was way more over-the-top, which is what I thought the first one would be--so, it definitely delivered on the big silliness. The riffs were great, and I think they were troubled by the heat early on, but I think they got into the groove about 10 minutes into it. Lot's of fun!
I honestly hope this one will be available in VOD form like the first one, cause I can't wait to watch it again!

Hahahahaha..... That joke they made with Jared Fogle in it was hysterical! I also thought the short before the movie started was funny too. "Brett Summers after a long day at Match Game." XD
