Preface: I am not a professional graphic designer. With the next MST3K Turkey Day Marathon coming up, I decided to have some fun and create modern versions of the classic '91, '92 and '93 Turkey Day Marathon logos. I tried to stay as close to the originals as possible, but of course make them much higher quality. Since Shout has never been able to find sources for the original bumpers, all we have to go off of for visuals and coloring are the low quality VHS recordings. Here's what the old logos looked like: Here are my new logos: Larger versions are here: 1991, 1992, 1993The standalone logos are here: 1991, 1992, 1993Also, just for comparison, here's what the 2013/2014 logo looked like: Step up your game, Shout!

Thanks! It just occurred to me that even if Shout finds the sources for the bumpers, the bugs in the corner are typically applied at airtime by a separate controller, so it's likely that we'll never have HQ versions. Even more reason to have some fun recreating them.

Someone took the 1993 logo, updated it and put it on shirts! I was thinking about getting one... link here

That's very clever! How did you make those?

That's very clever! How did you make those? Photoshop on one screen with the old grainy logos on the other. The 1991 logo was the only one that took some time since I had to make the cartoon turkey from scratch. I found the old Comedy Central logo on Google and just had to color correct it a bit. Someone took the 1993 logo, updated it and put it on shirts! I was thinking about getting one... link hereNever seen this before but I somehow ended up using they same turkey as they did. Weird.
