Attention all MSTies!
There was some talk about creating a new board for the new MST3K project that Joel's creating via Kickstarter. Some wanted it as a different topic entirely, others just wanted to make it so that they could more easily talk about watching Boggy Creek II or The Crawling Hand without stepping all over the latest news from Joel's Kickstarter Page.
We feel... and according to Joel's notes, he also feels... that this project isn't a new show, it's just more material for the same show. MST3K Season 11, if you will. Since the events going back to MST3K season 1 (and arguably season K) still have bearing on the shape of the new content, we feel that the MST3K General Chat section is still good for it.
However! It's viable to point out that we have two very different mindsets for the different kinds of posts. So we're making a compromise. This is a temporary board for discussing the New MST3K project. This board will go away in time, and when it does the conversations in it will be sent back to the MST3K General Chat board. Until then, this board is for discussions about, speculations about, and geeking out about the fact that we'll HAVE NEW MST3K EPISODES, GUYS CAN YOU BELIEVE IT THAT WE'VE GOT NEW MST3K COMING GUYS CAN YOU and that kind of thing! Oh, and also, everyone wanting to complain about this decision can do so here. Or on Sloane, of course. There's even a complaint bar there.
This isn't saying that you can't post things about the Kickstarter in the General Chat area, of course. Just know that all the cool kids'll talk about it here instead. For now.
Anyway, enjoy your new board. Play nice, and begin your NuMST discussions!
