So what’s on the USB drive? The description says “We'll send you an OFFICIAL MST3K KICKSTARTER COLLECTOR'S USB DRIVE, loaded up with the first three new episodes and a bunch of exclusive bonus content.”

GIRLISH SCREAM GIRLISH SCREAM GIRLISH SCREAM GIRLISH SCREAM GIRLISH SCREAM
My set arrived! ...right before I have to go to work... But I watched maybe ten minutes of the documentary, so that'll hold me until I get home.
The USB is adorable. I can't play with it without a laptop (mine is shattered) but it's fun to look at.

Getting a little worried I'm not going to get my Blu Ray set. Did they send me the mystery gift by mistake? Now I'm wondering if I screwed up that survey last year.

Getting a little worried I'm not going to get my Blu Ray set. Did they send me the mystery gift by mistake? Now I'm wondering if I screwed up that survey last year. You can always go to backerkit and look up your survey to see if you chose the DVD/Blu-ray or went with the mystery gift. I ended up grabbing both because the lure of the mystery gift was too tempting but I also wanted the blu-ray set. Upon finding out what the mystery gift is (as I'm still waiting on my one as I live in the UK) I can say I'm not disappointed. Yeah it may only be a Pop Vinyl figure (and I don't really collect them apart from the odd one here and there) but to the people complaining about dropping $100 for it, you gotta remember WHY you dropped the money. Was it for the gift, or was it to bring the show back? Yeah it may not look like something that's worth $100 but you know what? Neither is the blu-ray set. I looked up my backerkit order form yesterday and found out that the $100 blu-ray set? Yeah it's actual value is $20 now, meaning the other $80 went towards funding the show. The level I pledged at was in part for all the awesome swag that was on offer, but also to get MST3K back. If you only look at how much you pledged/gave in regards to just getting the swag, well you were "ripped off" with everything. But let's not forget all the additional stuff that was offered for free, including the 2 KTMA episodes. And again, it may only be a Pop Vinyl, but after seeing the limited number of 2,900 that will be sent out, that means that is this all the more a rare piece of MST3K merchandise. I'll be gladly keeping mine!

So could someone help me out and verify what the mystery gift was supposed to be cuz I'm fairly certain I didn't get it. Also, how can I tell I go the bonus disk to the blu ray? my blue ray is a relatively cheap looking single box that holds about 5 disks with nothing else attached.

Wow, so did some more internet reading and I did not get my Mystery Gift. That's really lame, as I paid $100 extra to get both the blu ray set and the gift. Maybe it's coming separately? I sent an email to them.
Overall, I'm pretty unimpressed over this last round of rewards. Of course it turns out I don't have the actual mystery gift, but still. My thoughts are that it was just a bunch of mass produced stuff, and nothing 'unique' or special. Bummer.
Still glad I helped make 14 new eps, though.

The blu-ray set should have eight discs. All the extras are on disc eight. The mystery prize was a Tom Ser-Crow Funko Pop figure that is basically a repaint of Crow with Servo's color scheme.

I think where I messed up was once you selected the Mystery Gift, one had to also select the Blu Ray set as an "add on" to that. I was still getting over a really bad flu at the time, so an easy blunder to make. In any case the set will still be coming out for sale next year and I don't mind waiting a little longer. I have the VHX versions to pass the time. Probably going to flip my Serv-Crow as my other bots are looking a bit homicidal at him when it's late at night.

Yeah, I checked and the blu ray set says right on it Collector's Edition. I'm shocked there's a 25 page booklet crammed into that 1 inch thick box along with 8 discs. That's not even as big as a standard Shout 4 disc 4 ep release. (Literally--I just set it down next to one and compared).
The 'Mystery Gift' is pretty lame, especially considering it was $100 (plus $10 shipping!). If I want overpriced consumer products I can find those (and overpay for them) in a dozen places. I was assuming the mystery gift would be something unique--and don't tell me that that silly messed up Funko doll is 'unique' just because they only produced X number of them.
This here is the danger and IMO one of the dark sides of Kickstarter. This was a highly successful kickstarter and here we are with a disappointing finish because creators and backers get carried away with bonuses and stretch goals and such. (although, shhh, don't tell, but I'm glad we got 14 eps of new, pretty darn good MST3K, even if it was gotten from over-hyped stretch goals.)
If this final disappointing swag release coincides with no news of a Season 12 during Turkey Day, that will be a pretty sad end to 2017, the big year of the Return of MST3K.

I just got my Kickstarter rewards. I purchased the Season 11 set, in both the Blu-ray and DVD formats.
The Season 11 DVD is region locked to Region 1 (North America, i.e. US & Canada.) Can anyone confirm if the Blu-ray edition is region locked to Region A (For North America)? I don't have access to a PC Blu-ray drive right now to verify.
The MST3k Kickstarter support team told me that the discs would be region-free in an e-mail last year. I assumed they would follow through, as they licensed these films for MST3k for Great Birtain, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand, in addition to the US and Canada, given Netflix distributes the show in those territories.
If these discs are region-locked for fans overseas, perhaps backers in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand will be receiving DVDs and Blu-ray sets with slightly different region coding. For Blu-ray, it would be Region B. For DVDs, it would be Region 2 for Europe, while DVDs in Australia and New Zealand are locked to Region 4.

I have two blu-ray players, one region B and another that is unlocked so I'll test it in the region locked one first.

Regarding the DVD format Season 11 set, maybe the region coding is related to the different NTSC & PAL TV standards.
Since DVDs are standard definition, they have to be specially formatted to PAL & NTSC, depending on territory.
Perhaps Shout decided to region code the DVDs that are specially formatted in the PAL format for Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
Blu-rays don’t conform to NTSC or PAL formats. Blu-ray players are equipped to scale and output to any TV definition format. Movies are usually stored at 1080p resolution at 24 frames per second on a Blu-ray Disc.
They could ship the same Blu-ray set sent to North American backers to backers all around the world, this no need for region coding. DVDs have to be specially formatted for different TV standards overseas though.

Got the DVD set today. Neat combination of old-school clamshell case and slipcover box.
Kind of wondering if the regular release is going to have movie-specific extras, like trailers and Ballyhoo docs, since this doesn't.
But the extras we *do* have are pretty neat.
