You know, listening to you guys talk is starting to make me hopeful about this relaunch. I guess I tend to forget how many changes they've gone through over the years, and sometimes forget that it's been nearly 20 years since it's been on the air. I suppose that the worst that can happen is that it's not as good. And the upside is that it's enjoyable, and keeps it fresh to a new generation. Color me hopeful, and (semi) optomistic !

That's the spirit! Whether you like it or not, you're always welcome to voice your opinion here as well. But I hope for the most positive experience for all.

Yeah. Disagreeing about other opinions on MST3K episodes is a tried and true right afforded to MSTies on the world wide web. I've gone on record before about not really caring for Manos, for instance (and being one of the few people to actually enjoy watching Hamlet back when a week couldn't go by without a thread talking about how bad the episode was popping up.) Having an unpopular opinion is fine, it just makes you one of the rogue MSTies who don't play by the rules, but you get results so you're still on the force.
As for the set, I liked what I saw. It reminded me of the set that they had during The Movie, where you could see wider angles and more of the room at a time. (Also, I think the bone-headed guys in the trailer back up my thoughts on who they are in one sense, but less so in another sense.)

It's only fair to be nervous about it, you only do so because MST3K is a show you hold near and dear to your heart. Also it's a realistic fear it won't be as good because to be fair the show probably will need to refind it's feet....just like how they were in season 1, I am hopeful that it's at least going to be a fun ride. Who knows, we could have some new episodes we consider all time classics in the near future!
