The DAP DVDs of the Sci-Fi episodes that were recorded off DVRs/digital broadcasts are in some ways better than some of the official DVD releases. They look good and don't have tape hits, sound glitches, or brightness issues like I've noticed in some retail SF DVDs. You just have to deal with the channel bug in the lower left of the screen at times. I would disagree on one point: brightness issues. Back before Gorgo was officially released, I downloaded the DAP DVD and immediately noticed that the picture was totally washed out. The brightness was way too high. I think I later tried a second DVD which had the same problem. I gave up on DAP after that. In defense of DAP, Gorgo was the episode that aired only twice on the same day due to rights issues. I'd imagine that they didn't have as many copies to work with in this instance.

I seem to notice alot of episodes off DAP seem to come off tapes from Sky, based on the quality and small portions of segments coming in like the person didn't tape the commercials.

Maybe, but like I noted, Gorgo wasn't the only DAP DVD with elevated brightness. I think DAP used some incorrect settings for their captures or encoding. And I'm not talking a slight error -- it was significantly off.
