Okay my friends, what are some performances given by actors who played minor characters that you enjoyed on the films riffed on MST?
My choices:
1. The reporter on Future War: The cameraman is holding a clearly cardboard camera but the actor playing the reporter still gives the performance his all, trying his darndest to make the scene dramatic.
2. The store clerk/cashier on Girl in Gold Boots, she plays the character well, capturing some of the weariness of having to deal with ruffians like Buz and the bikers.
3. The newspaper photographer in The Corpse Vanishes, to me he was believable as a photographer who sometimes relunctantly helped Ms. Morgan cover the stories and I believed that he and Patricia Morgan were friends at the newspaper, as they seemed to have an genuine friendly relationship.

The no-name village guy out for an evening stroll in 302 GAMERA who sees the ball of fire go across the sky overhead and dub/delivers:
"Maybe it's the flying saucer that I heard them talk about so much lately"
the round of applause at scene's end was well warranted

Whoever played the Solarite in Phantom Planet. It's not easy to play a character in a big monster suit, but you always knew what that bug-eyed alien was thinking as the scenes moved on. -EDIT- I did some research, and apparently the Solarite was played by the guy who played Jaws in the James Bond movies and Eegah! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_KielIt was his second movie, after an uncredited role earlier.

I always liked Big Jake in Sidehackers.
His line "I don't believe it. You hit Big Jake." Is a classic.
Same with Crapout. "That was number five!"

Clint Eastwood in Revenge of the Creature. His subsequent fame makes it memorable, but even on its own, its a sincerely funny scene.
The old couple who stop to steal some fruit in Incredible Melting Man. The scene doesn't work as well since most of the rest of the humor and self-awareness was cut out of the film early on, but it's still fun to watch these two.

The antique store clerk in Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders.
IMDB has the actress listed as Julia Leigh Miller. Whoever she was, she gave a genuinely credible performance in what was otherwise one trainwreck of a movie.
Joe Turkel as the beat-talking blackmailer in Tormented. Actually, most of the cast in this movie was pretty good (considering) but Turkel, an old pro, was the clear standout IMHO.
Another Joe, this one Joe Elic, as the Durante-esque "Shim" in Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.

Bruno VeSota and Harvey B. Dunn were always good and rose above the material. DeSota in particular in The Giant Leeches. You believed him with that shotgun.

VeSota was one of my favorites, too. Even in The Wild World of Batwoman he managed to rise above the dreck. Steve Brodie also came across in that movie pretty well.
Oh my garsh, did I just say two good things about The Wild World of Batwoman ?!!!

Every time I watch Clint in "Revenge" (regular or MST version) I'm always taken aback by just how poor his acting was at the time in that scene. Fortunately for us all he honed his craft...

Gotta give a shout out to Happy Chef in "I Accuse My Parents." He makes the movie, as far as I'm concerned.

He is nice without being cloying, you get the feeling that Al “Happy Chef” Frazier did help people who were down on their luck. Also, he was one of the few positive influences in Jimmy’s life.
