Obviously, Godzilla was the episode that generated the most excitement... but that thrill was fleeting when it was pulled and replaced. But for me the best episode was Teenage Stranger (ranked 46 in my top 100), followed by Giant Spider Invasion (#94 overall) as a Packer-backer who was basking in the glow of his first Superbowl victory (I was too young to appreciate the Lombardi era wins), those drunken "Packers won the Superbowl, WOO-HOO!" quips had me in tears from laughing. The remaining eps are decent. Swamp Diamonds is the weak sister in this set
The new host segment on Gila was great fun.

Teenage Strangler for me is an iconic go-to episode for me so it takes #1. This is such a strong set and I think every episode is really good. I was lucky enough to get set 10 and then the bonus Gila Monster disc. Godzilla would definitely be #2 as I have a love for all things Japanese and Kaiju related. The others are all so good I would give them all a tie for third so:
Teenage Strangler Godzilla vs Megalon Giant Gila Monster Swamp Diamonds Giant Spider Invasion

212 Godzilla vs Megalon (1st) 402 Giant Gila Monster (55th) 810 Giant Spider Invasion (62nd) 514 Teen-Age Strangler (93rd) 503 Swamp Diamonds (96th)
what a volume this is. and yes, Godzilla vs Megalon is for me the perfect encapsulation of an MST3K episode. both of them, actually, but this one is the best; i could watch dubbed, iconic kaiju all day long and ive played this one more than any other and it remains pristine. check the avi. the era, the color, the monsters, the jokes. its all so perfect i wet 'em. ive moved other episodes up and down my rankings but this has been #1 always. i think i shall be buried with my copy of it.
also love the Gila Monster. every time that one car pulls up and they do the Munsters theme i laugh my head off. when Joel does "im your boyfriend now! lullllullul" when the Gila slips its tongue out... same reaction.
Giant Spider Invasion is just another fantastic monster episode it makes me wonder how Swamp Diamonds fits in to this set, but I enjoy that one as well.

I like almost all of these. I hadn't started pre-ordering the sets yet, but there was and still is a local music and video store that carried them, and on top of that they also discounted the sets. The day Volume 10 came out I went there and bought it for I believe about $10 below retail. There were three other copies on the shelf, and with some foresight I could have made a bit of money on them, but oh, well. Dems da breaks. I got The Giant Gila Monster disc when Rhino offered it. It took a while to arrive after I ordered it, but it came. Because I got that and the set I didn't get 10.2 when it came out since I didn't want to double dip, but when mst3kstore.com had that mega sale last year I went ahead and got it. Haven't opened it, but I have it.
Of course Megalon is first for me, followed by Strangler, Gila, Swamp, and then Spider. One might think that since I live in Wisconsin I would like Spider, but one would be wrong. It's just OK for me. The other episodes outshine it big time.

I got the Gila Monster version of this set, but I voted for Godzilla vs. Megalon anyway, because that's the ep that I remember getting the most laughs overall from me when I first watched it.
The others are about even.
