Minneapolis already has tour dates up. They're riffing a German film directed by Roland Emmerich called Making Contact: Following the wildly successful “Watch Out for Snakes! Tour” in 2017, the “30th Anniversary Tour” in 2018, and “The Great Cheesy Movie Circus Tour” in 2019, Mystery Science Theater 3000 Live is launching the next all new production to hit the road! Join host Emily Connor (Emily Marsh) and the world’s greatest – and only – movie riffing robots, Tom Servo (Conor McGiffin), Crow (Nate Begle), and GPC (Yvonne Freese), as they take you on an exhilarating rollercoaster ride through the film Making Contact, imposed by Mad Scientist, Mega-Synthia (Yvonne Freese). Now you can sit in the same theater with your favorite characters and experience this long running comedy phenomenon in a universally-acclaimed live event. hennepintheatretrust.org/events/mystery-science-theater-3000-live-tickets-pantages-theatre-minneapolis-mn-2021/

Making Contact looks like a great movie to riff.

I’m happily surprised they’re coming back to my hometown.

Touring starts late Oct. 2 Minneapolis shows Black Friday and the day after.
Makes me wonder how/if they're tying this in to Season 13 and the Gizmoplex launch. They said first episode will drop this Fall. And there's a Halloween episode. So maybe they'll start this Oct with the Halloween episode, 1 ep a month for 13 months gets them to the next November. So 2 Turkey Days in 1 season.

nah they would launch Turkey Day, hence being in Minneapolis to celebrate the launch live, no coincidence there, so the season would end at the end of next year with that Christmas special. dont think they would make the Halloween 3-D episode the premiere and they said they aim to make the Gamera episode the premiere
So guess they will make enough episodes/content before Halloween for the launch and through Feb then get back to making more episodes in Mar

In the update today they said the tour group would will all their episodes (thought I’m assuming not the Jonah/Emily/Joel episode) before hitting the road.

Kind of vague though, doesnt say 'all the episodes', just 'their episodes'. and it's been established that they arent doing all the episodes all at once like with Netflix. And I definitely wouldnt want it that way, so that the writers can take as much time as possible making the episodes the best they can be.

Detroit goes from the 5,174 seat Fox Theater last tour to the 4,650 seat Masonic Temple Theater. Still a very big place to fill! I'll be there though.

It sounds like they have started the writing process for season 13, and yeah, in this update it specified the live cast (not the entire cast) would have their episodes filmed before the tour, so that gives them over 3 months to do their 4 or so episodes.
Time bubble? A clue as to how Kinga is managing all these hosts and bots? Expanding her liquid tech.... she already threw them into a comic using the Bubbulat-R. Hey wait, did Kinga steal that idea from the Seattle Worlds Fair? (BTW, I remember the Bubbleator, glad it has a home - and this video features clips from a familiar MST short)

Pretty exciting! Attending as always. When I first saw one of these I thought, wow! There’s no way I’d go back to rifftrax live!

Being from Australia, the live tours will remain allusive to me…unless the “maybe” happens, and it does get recorded!

putting the pieces together.. I think this means that Joel will not tour with the cast and will stay behind to work on the show. That isn't gonna help with the ticket sales and since Emily is a newbie without any episodes to her name at the start of the tour I am worried it's not going to sell well.
Scaling back the tour schedule and only doing one movie are good moves. The movie choice definitely looks like a crowd pleaser.

Emily is the best host the series has ever had despite not having a episode to her name.
