With the Rifftrax reriff, I didn't mind because two of the three riffers were riffing it for the first time (Yes, Mike wrote for the MST3K version, but didn't perform in the theater).
With The Mads, I'm kind of excited since this will be Frank's first time actually riffing on the film (Yes, he wrote for the MST3K version...). Since Frank is the one who found Manos, I'm interested in hearing him rip on the film in his own voice.

I thought it worked well. They were a little less harsh on it than I expected. They didn't have quite the anger that the Rifftrax crew did in their live show. With The Mads, I like that they admit a bit of affection for some of their film, like Glen or Glenda. They did the same for Manos in the Q&A.

While not awful, there are laughs to be had, I felt it was their weakest effort to date, the weakest Manos - I've no reason to revisit it not when MST and Rifftrax did such a bang-up job of it. And It's not a good movie, so Trace and Chris acting like it's not so bad was silly to me. Yes, it is that bad. (You can argue whether it's the worst ever -for me that honor goes to Women of Lost Mesa, and you can appreciate the effort and like the people who worked on it, but don't soft soap the quality of the film itself)
