I can't remember why, but someone brought up the old Letterman show yesterday...back when it was on NBC at midnight...anyway, I remembered that I really enjoyed it back then and was wondering if any VHS collections existed...I'd love to see some of those old shows. Anyone else?

I'd like to see the ones with Joel. Heard that was the last thing he did, famous-wise, before MST.

There is a newer cable network named TRIO that is currently re-running classic Dave. I get it here in the Twin Cities on Time Warner Cable, i believe it can be found on most dish services.
VHS collection has to be out there somewhere, but that's a whole lotta shows!!

I'm kicking myself for not recording those early shows of his. I guess there are some shows that can't be show, or have to be shown edited because he was sued.
I remember one product he had fun with, Meat bags or something like that. It was hysterical, he got the whole audience singing "Meat Bag, Meat Bag" and they sued and he had to stop with the bit.

Just a correction-TRIO is no longer airing those David Letterman repeats. The TRIO site does not mention why, though I can imagine the rights ran out, and Worldwide Pants is not going to just give away the show. So, TRIO may air it again in the future, just not right now. Sorry for any confusion, everybody.

I stand corrected phantom- sort of forgot what the heck I was saying there...
WWP probably wasn't even created til Dave left NBC, I knew that and somehow it left my mind...ooops.
Well, I was wrong about TRIO and I was wrong about WWP-just not my day, I guess.

I need to get TRIO. The regular channels just aren't good enough for me.

But when he left NBC considered all his bits their "intellectual property" and threatened to sue if he used any of them. What a bunch of wankers. I am a big Dave fan. Still watch him.
