Since I seem to have plenty of time on my hands(due to unemployment), I thought that maybe I should spend a while bumming around the country. So:
A: Where should I go?
and
B: Can I crash on anyone's couch for a couple of days?

Boston. I may be partial to that city because I know a very lovely lady there. Still, it is a nice little city to wander around and spelunk through.

Hmm, my sphere of places I know is real small. From Lancaster to Philadelphia to Harrisburg to York, all in PA. I suggest you go to Yellowstone Park, and sleep with the wild moose. A moose once bit my sister. Mind you moose bites can be pretty bad...<THWACK!>

Go to North Dakota, which is really Middle Earth, and you can crash with Samwise Gaumgee. absolutly ignore that advice, I've been there, and the only thing of interest is that it's extremely FLAT, and there's a gaint cow on one of the few hills... I can't remember which town has it though. Try Montana, You'll see everything from dessert to beuatiful Montains, maybe even the ski resorts are still open.

Wi not trei a holiday in Sweden this yer?
Just whatever you do, do not go to tourist scum Orlando. Unless you're 12 and under, this place has NO entertainment value. It's just expensive crap, wrapped in a pretty box.
I HATE Disneyworld....

How about El Paso I hear that's nice. Just don't go into the Valley Lodge near the two kissing teenagers.

Ummmm, well, you could come to Montgomery and I could show you the, uhhhh, well, Rosa Parks Museum and, uhhhhh, where MLK used to preach and, well, that's about it historically.
Other than that, we could ride around in the Firebird, listening to Boston, and watch MST3K till we puke.
Of course, the puke would be from all the Schlitz we'd be drinking during multiple viewings of Mitchell.
Come on down South boy!!!
We'll shows ya a good ole time.

Phoenix, Arizona. Sorry, no theme parks, but they've got bank one ballpark (nice place for a baseball game), various historical structures (like ancient native american homes), mill avenue (parties!), lots of nice malls, hikin trails up the mountains, and in northern arizona there is the grand canyon.

Grand Lake, right next to the Rocky Mountain National Park is the most stunningly beautiful place on earth. (That I've been to, anyway). And if you come out this way, I'm sure Civ will let you crash with him. #nosmileys#nosmileys#nosmileys

I would recommend staying away from Florida. Not because I don't want you here, understand. But Florida is very hot and sticky and rednecky, and there is no culture to speak of that does not include large stinking men with rebel flags and gun racks festooned across their pickup trucks. Plus there are a lot of dumb ass tourists with their miles of slack white flesh and matching Mickey Mouse T-shirts. And people drive really badly here as well. But hey, the alligators are pretty neat. Oh, and St. Augustine's nice.
