I haven't heard the name "Li'l Bow Wow" since Like Mike came out in theaters. Coincidence?
'Course that could be because I haven't watched MTV in about five years.

I would still pick the cheesey movies that they can afford plus there are so many that can still be done. Today no executive has faith in any series and would only give about 6 episodes so I would go with the following to start.
Episode 1: The Man from Planet X (not such a bad movie, this seems the way some MST3K seasons have started to ease the new fans with a not so crappy movie [season 2, season 4, The Movie, season 8] .)
Episode 2: SST Death Flight (A classic from the KTMA season and they made some of the worst episodes like Gamera into the most memorable of season three. Think what they could do with the best).
Episode 3: Billy the Kid versus Dracula (not even intended to be campy)
Episode 4: Godzilla vs. The Smog Monster (Breakdancing Godzilla, which would lead to the final host segment a trailer for 'Godzilla vs. Adolfo Shabba-Doo: Electric Boogaloo'.)
Episode 5: Samson vs. The Infernal Men (El Santo insipred mexican wrestlers like Rey Misterio Jr., so let's hope Vince McMahon's movie company fails before we see 'Rey Rey vs. The Vampire Women'
Episode 6: City on Fire (another stinkburger from KTMA season that should have been redone)
BUT if they received a full season I would model it after season 3. But instead of Japanese movies they would be Italian movies and instead of Gamera we get Hercules. Also some Ator movies. Then to add I looked at the Rhino website and they have the rights to so many bad movies (inculding a few Hercules movies), I think they should do those and they would be able to sell them easily.
Here's a look. Mainly Hercules and Ator movies but there is also the infamous Ed Wood.
1101- The Creature Walks Among Us (once again a movie not so bad to ease newcomers in) 1102- Hercules vs. Vampires (Rhino Ready) 1103- Ed Wood's Jail Bait (Rhino Ready) 1104- Hercules and the Captive Woman (Rhino Ready) 1105- Prehistoric Woman (Rhino Ready) 1106- Ator 1107- Ed Wood's Night of the Ghouls (Rhino Ready) 1108- Hercules against the Sons of the Sun 1109- Evil Clutch (Rhino Ready) 1110- Iron Warrior (another Ator movie) 1111- Ed Wood's Glen or Glenda 1112- Hercules vs. Mollock 1113- Devil Girls from Mars (Rhino Ready) 1114- Quest for Mighty Sword (another Ator movie) 1115- The Giant Gila Monster (Rhino Ready) 1116- Hercules and the Tyrant of Babylon 1117- Half Human (Rhino Ready) 1118- Atom Age Vampire (Rhino Ready) 1119- The Man Beast (Rhino Ready) 1120- Fury of Hercules 1121- Mesa of the Lost Women (Rhino Ready) 1122- The Cosmic Man (Rhino Ready) 1123- Jesse Jammes versus Frankenstein’s Daughter 1124- Hercules against the Elephant Empire

And another place to try is the Library. That's where I found Puppet People, but I also checked out a couple of Kurosawa and Buster Keaton flicks that I'd never seen before.
And it's free!

That's a great suggestion. The library is bound to have a bunch of lousy cheap movies.
Man, the last time I was in a library it was the kid's section. I think I was looking up a book on Brazil for a 5th grade school project. That would mean that I haven't been in a library for roughly eleven years! This will be like a whole new experience!

I'm sure that there's a short about librairies that belongs on MST3K. And I'm just going to suggest "Godzilla's Revenge" as another movie that deserves the treatment.

RevRaven, do you actually dislike the Matrix movies, or would you simply like to see them riffed?

I've had two movies picked out for a while that I'd love to watch with a bunch of fans and just riff the hell out of.
Blue Desert - an 80's "thriller" with Courteny Cox and D. B. Sweeny
Chameleon- a made for UPN movie of the late 90's that had one or two sequels, believe it or not

We'd love to do a live chat room based riffing of a non-MST3K movie here at the site, but nobody has figured out how yet.

Unsavory and Forrest/b]: Yes, I actually dislike The Matrix and it's sequels (for reasons I don't wish to discuss here, but feel free to email me). And Forrest: I liked Evil Dead as well, but the original was just such a B movie that it longs to be on MST3K.
I like a few of the movies I listed (even own some of them on DVD), but they're still bad movies and I'd love to see them riffed on. Like Return 3, it had a character so perfect for MST that he woulda been in one of the host seguments. But liked or not, shitloads of flicks deserve a shadowrama treatment.
And as far as the chatroom thing's going, someone should search for the MST3K Home Game..it's still being played somewhere (I found the website a few months ago), but I'm kinda watching Attack of the Killer Leeches at the moment.

I only asked if you disliked The Matrix because it just seemed a little unusual. I hope I didn't offend you with the question.

Unsavory: No offense taken my friend. It is a bit unusual (I haven't met many other fellow dorks who dislike the films as I do), but I didn't wish to sidetrack this very interesting MST3K discussion with my opinions on The Matrix.
But indeed. I could see Mike dressed as Keanu being told what The Matrix is from Crow's Lawrence Fishburn. That would be comedy folks.

That's the wonderful world of opinions folks. I never was that hot over the "Matrix", thought it was okay (the original). Now a movie I really liked was the "Hulk", and I know if Forrest is out there with drink in hand, he just did a spit take. But that's what makes life fun, it would be pretty boring if we were all part of some Borg collective.

Nah, I kind of stayed away from everyones opinion on that movie. On another board, someone actually flamed me pretty hard because I liked it. But I like Ang Lee films, I liked the examination of anger and repression and I liked Nick Nolte's insane portrayal (when he speaks of his wifes death, boy did that blow me away. The acting and dialog), he's a man whose mind has unraveled. Folks have told me it's dull, but hey, I loved "Lost in Translation". I'm immune to traditional views on dull.
