I don't know if it is public domain but 'Slime People' has been previously distributed by Rhino (as has 'Giant Gila Monster' and 'Hercules and the Captive Woman') but it is season one and Best Brains may veto that release.
Also 'The Robot vs. Aztec Mummy' and 'Mad Monster' are public domain but once again season 1. I only mentioned 'The Crawling Eye' because it is the FIRST NATIONAL EPISODE (therefore historical) and it wasn't that bad.
Also Radar Men from the Moon is public domain but also is season 1.

Intresting MST3K Public Domain facts.
Didn't look for many KTMA's mainly because most of them are owned by the Andersons, Sandy Frank and some of them were 70's movies. I mostly looked at Sci-Fi, Horror and Explotation titles.
At least 44 episodes are public domain. 36 of these are owned by Comedy Central. 8 of these are owned by Sci-Fi 29 of the 36 Comedy Central ones are after the first season.
12 titles release by Rhino were NOT public domain but Rhino took the time to get the rights and release them. [Not including poopie, shorts or Amazing Colossal Man]
11 titles (I think) were public domain and released by Rhino.
'Boggy Creek II: and the legend continues' and 'Girl in Gold boots' are not public domain from what I can tell but were release by Best Brains. Touch of Satan and Hamlet released by Best Brains were public domain.
9 of the episodes still airing on Sci-Fi are not public domain.
Another intresting fact. TV Land owns the rights to 'Tabitha' and 'Square Pegs' two shows that only lasted a season and only have 24 episodes which they air only on weekends. Comedy Central does the same with 'the Critic'. So if a network were to buy JUST Comedy Central rights and JUST use public domain movies after the first season (that Best Brains would perfer) they would still have most episodes then the previously mentioned shows.
Now the list of Public Domain movies: Season 1 1. 101- The Crawling Eye 2. 102- Robot vs. Aztec Mummy 3. 103- Mad Monster 4. 105- The Corpse Vanishes 5. 106- The Crawling Hand 6. 107- Robot Monster 7. 108- Slime People
Comedy Central Golden Age 8. 211- First Spaceship on Venus 9. 212- Godzilla vs. Megalon 10. 320- The Unearthly 11. 321- Santa Claus Conquers the Martians 12. 323- The Castle of Fu Manchu 13. 402- The Giant Gila Monster 14. 404- Teenager from Outer Space 15. 408- Hercules Unchained 16. 410- Hercules against the Moon Men 17. 411- The Magic Sword 18. 412- Hercules and the Captive Woman 19. 416- The Beatniks 20. 418- Attack of the the Eye Creatures 21. 423- Bride of the Monster 22. 502- Hercules 23. 507- I Accuse My Parents 24. 513- Brain the Wouldn’t Die 25. 515- The Wild World of Batwoman 26. 517- Beginning of the End 27. 518- The Atomic Brain 28. 522- Teenage Crime-Wave 29. 606- The Creeping Terror 30. 607- Bloodlust 31. 609- Skydivers 32. 610- The Violent Years 33. 619- Red Zone Cuba 34. 621- The Beast of Yucca Flats 35. 624- Samson vs. the vampire Women 36. 701- Night of the Blood Beast
Sci-Fi Era 37. 806- The Undead 38. 807- Terror from Year 5000 39. 817- Horror of Party Beach 40. 902- The Phantom Planet 41. 912- Screaming Skull 42. 908- Touch of Satan 43. 1007- Track of the Moonbeast 44. 1009- Hamlet
Now here are a couple of titles that Rhino released would be pretty simple to get the rights to. 45. 202- Sidehcakers 46. 204- Catalina Caper 47. 209- The Hellcats 48. 301- Cave Dwellers 49. 303- Pod People 50. 424- Manos, the hands of Fate 51. 506- Eegah 52. 511- Gunslinger 53. 512- Mitchell 54. 622- Angel’s Revenge 55. 820- Space Mutiny 56. 822- Overdrawn at the Memory Bank [Also still airs on Sci-Fi] 57. 1002- Girl in Goldboots [Also still airs on Sci-Fi]
A BEST BRAINS RELEASE 58. 1006- Boggy Creek II: And the Legend Continues
Here are the last intial 12 episodes run on Sci-Fi so those rights could be easy to obtain. 3 episodes released on VHS or DVD 2 episodes are public domain 59. 810- Giant Spider Invasion 60. 816- Prince of Space 61. 819- Invasion of the Neptune Men 62. 913- Quest of the Delta Knights 63. 1003- Merlin’s Shop of Mystical Wonder’s (Actually originally had rights struggles) 64. 1008- Final Justice 65. 1011- Horrors of Spider Island
Finally a freind of MST3K has always seemed to have been FVI. They let them release Cave Dwellers and Pod People so other rights may be easy to obtain. Film Ventures International Movies 2 Rhino Released Movies (Cave Dwellers & Pod People) 66. 213- Godzilla vs. Sea Monster 67. 305- Stranded in Space 68. 322- Master Ninja I 69. 324- Master Ninja II 70. 401- Space Travellers 71. 403- City Limits 72. 405- Being from Another Planet
Take note. Minus the 7 season 1 episodes you have 65 easy to get rights episodes. Any AMC executives on this board?
Plus other titles that would probaly easy to get rights to. 73. 309- Daddy-O 74. 422- The Day the Earth Foze 75. 813- Jack Frost
Maybe a couple of MR. BIG's films and you'd have a easy replay schedule. All you have to do is buy the CC TV airing rights, Sci-Fi TV airing rights, get couple of Rhino releases and FVI rights and you have a real easy replay schedule. I think I am going to send this out to some cable network that could be intrested. (Much like Forrest did with Rhino).

I'm more interested in the theory that AMC or TCM could see this list and put the show into a weekly showing. That'd rock.

It would rock indeed but I'm not real optimistic about it. I just don't know if there's enough of a national market for it. I can only hope. Torgo needs to see more CC's. That little punk. (But I kid Torgo).

Hey, I saw 15 of them. Enough to know who Torgo is.
One day when I see the rest, I shall become a man.

Couldn't Comedy Central theoretically show any of these public domain episodes right now? Cause if they could, it would make a great replacement for the movies they show from 3:00-5:00 eastern time every day.
