Well actually it is more like Woody Allen's 'What Up Tiger Lily'. Local Minnesota UHF station, KSTC 45, has a late-night horror show, called 'Horror Incorparated' and what it has done is taken the unclassic 'Capture of Bigfoot' (in what seems like perfect MST3K fodder) and replaced it's soundtrack with one of their own. While it isn't MST3K it does remind you of a MST3K like experience.
By the time anyone sees this it'll probably be over but they'll probably repeat it if anyone in the Twin Cities area is intrested. Frankly it is amusing, not MST3K good but okay.

I love What's up Tiger Lily. Allen is so freaking great. MST owes a lot to him in a way.
I don't know anything about that Chicago thing, but is anyone old enough to remember something called Mad Movies? It's something from the 80's my sister told me about one time. She said it was kind of a proto MST and similar to Tiger Lily. I forget if they wiped the sound and added their own or did something else.
Someone help me out here.
John

I found proof on www.imdb.com. My sister wasn't dreaming. It was called "Mad Movies with the L.A. Connection" and they dubbed the audio. It was on in 1985. Does anyone have episodes? More research is needed! John

I just saw a little bit of Capture of Bigfoot on television for the first time a few nights ago and the first thing to cross my mind was MST3K. Interesting it should come up.
Anyway, I hope the new show catches on and we have a new MST-like show coming out of Minnesota.

Anyway, I hope the new show catches on and we have a new MST-like show coming out of Minnesota. It's just a one time thing. Otherwise it shows movies basically like you'd see on AMC except with little bumpers. Today is different. BUT JUST NOW A BIG MST3K reference. Someone just kicked some one and we got a HI KEEBA!

Well, it might not be an MST3K reference. It might be a reference to....um,.....you know, that one....movie where MST3K got it from....because it's so memorable, you know....

That reminds me of the super-goofy comedy "Kung Pow: Enter the Fist". FU-UNNY!

But it was really more of a tribute to 'What's up Tiger Lily' because the presentation was called 'What's Up Bigfoot'. But I didn't see the opening segment so I don't know if the mentioned MST3K or IT Came from Hollywood. At the beginning of the movie it was like a bad episode of 'Americas Funniest Home Videos' (before Trace & Josh) but towards the end it was like a 3 Crow episode of MST3K. It was really intresting and funny.

ash2, I remember Mad Movies. I think Nickelodeon ran them in the early days of cable. However, I did also grow up in Chicago, so perhaps it was a UHF station.
I remember first seeing MST3K and thinking it was a new form of Mad Movies. I expect they'll never be released for the same rights issues as most of the MST3K catalog.

horrorinc.topcities.com/Here's a link to the show's web site. Very odd, but check out "Previous Episodes". Quite a few were featured on MST3K. Also, if you're at work or something, you may want to turn down the sound.

hey vanhagar, are you here in the twin cities also?
i'd love to know a local tape trader, probably save a bunch on postage-too!
I've seen Horror Inc. pretty horrible, if you ask me-though i did tape their showing of Plan 9 a few months ago-this was just straight movie, no replacing the soundtrack. The "host" segments of that show are amazing to watch, i will say that.
VanHagar, get back to me if you're interested in local trading in the Twin Cities-I don't yet have em all, but I'm trying-maybe we can help each other out?

I really don't have any tapes. I really only started watching a couple of months ago. But I have really seen it since KTMA (thanks to my dad). But I'd like to buy some from you for cash or check and save money myself.
