Hey, this was inspired by MightyJack's offering of a couple o'quiz questions for the more well-versed of MSTies among us. Of course, that sort of thing totally appeals to the obsessive-compulsive trainspotting trivia maven in me (and all of us, I'd hope), so let's see if we can't create, basically, the MST3K trivia challenge thread. Simply throw out a reference (give the show and context, too, if it's important) and see who the first is to figure it out. I'll go first since I just finished watching this one with my dad.
From 210 KING DINOSAUR, in the first host segment, Joel's doing his "beat poet" thing, and the bots respond with:
Crow: "Rave on, Joel Robinson!" Tom: "Rave on, thy holy fool!"
What does this refer to? A shiny nickel to the first man, woman, or transbot who can answer me!

Is it something to do with Van Morrison?

Yes! From "Rave On, John Donne, Pts 1 & 2," off of Live at the Sydney Opera House (1986). It's a magically obscure reference.

Okay, no peaking on my page for the answer. This one absolutely killed me when I first heard it...
Eegah, shaving scene. One of the guys says,
"Have you seen Andalusian Dog?"
What are they referring to?

The hideously disturbing Un Chien Andalou, an art film by Luis Bunuel that features a straight razor slicing open a pig's eye (no, they're NOT really slicing a woman's eye open, thank god...though I wish they'd done that to Roxy's dad).

Very good. Man did that slicing scene give me nightmares. Also, Salvadore Dali worked on the film as well.

And the hideously disturbing French film Un Chien Andalou is the base for the lyrics in the uber song by the Pixes, "Debaser". The song is found on their third album, I think, Doolittle. Sorry, I just had to do that.
