I don't think I've ever felt uncomfortable when they riff on things that are close to me (though none come to mind, I'm sure they've riffed Indiana on occasion), but I do feel a bit uncomfortable when they're riffing places/activities of people that I know well. While I love "The Final Sacrifice", I've gotta admit to not ever wanting my Canadian friends to hear "The Canada Song."

[quote author=Forrest I will agree it was the low-point of season 7, but the end credits were so hilarious that I think I'd rate that ep pretty high. Still, I thought that ep had good, solid riffing throughout, but compared to the rest of season 7, it is definately a low-point.[/quote]
Wow! Everyone thinks this was a low point and I think it's a classic ep and best of that season! I've always loved the "sleazy" stuff though: Manos, Atomic Brain, etc.
Back on the topic: my wife got a little uneasy during some of the jokes in Jack Frost and Magic Voyage of Sinbad, being from Russia...but she took it pretty well. She gets the humour and loves the show.
As for me I'd love to see a Kansas City quip, having endured the place for seven years...

At first it didn't work right but you click on the quote icon at the top right of the post you want to quote . Then type your messege under the quote.

Wow! Everyone thinks this was a low point (Melting Man) and I think it's a classic ep and best of that season! I like it too and it is one that gets better with each viewing for me. There is so much to love: Lemons and crackers and floating heads and remembering never to tell an armed cop that your name is Dr. Ted Nelson.

Your advice of sitting through Deathstalker again didn't do me any good but I'll have to give Melting Man another shot.

I told you to watch Deathstalker again? hmm, I don't remember that. 'Stalker is one I liked right off the bat but I don't think it has a lot of nuance. That is, what you see is what you get (Crunchy pillows and potatoes) so I can't see it as one that would grow on someone (I could be wrong of course, someone will pop in and say that they 'Used' to hate it)
"Beginning of the End" and "Teenage Crimewave" are examples of 2 that I grew to love. I just seem to discover something new and funny everytime I watch them.
