Recently there has been a crapload of bad movies to come out - some of them are insuferable without a little riff now and again. What have you tried to riff on recently (movies, shows, etc ...) that you just couldn't?
Personally, I had a hell of a time riffing "Gigli." God, what a horrible trainwreck of a disaster that one is. Boring as hell.
Also, I saw an infomercial for the "Thunderstick." Now, don't get me wrong - it's probably riffable, but damn it's funny just watching it. If you're thinking that the thunderstick is a penis, well, you're wrong - but the way the informercial is laid out, I'd swear it was a vibrator of some sort! It's actually one of those hand-held mixers. It's as if the script writers just gave up and abused the hell out of the product.

If you want t o riff Gigli you have to do what The Brains did and watch it several times. Go ahead, I dare you.

I inadvertently ended up riffing Dreamcatcher but got only a few good lines out towards the end.

I inadvertently ended up riffing Dreamcatcher but got only a few good lines out towards the end. YES! That's what happened to me! It is just to ludicriously bad to make easy fun of, despite the spelling of 'ludicriously'. It practically does it for itself. They best film adaptation of a Stephen King book I ever saw was 'The Shining' (directed by my idol, Stanley Kubrick) And he really didn't follow the book.

I tried to riff The Never Ending Story thread but I think I just mucked it up.

That's because your riff got incorporated into the final cut of the script.

That's it, I'm taking my name off the script! (Stomps out in a huff)

My boyfriend and I recently tried to riff Crater Lake Monster. It's not as easy as it looks on MST3K; we could only think of a couple of clever jokes.

Though the rednecks in the film seem to act like they are working with the viewer in that endveour. But yeah it is pretty hard to do. I was thinking of trying it with Battlefield Earth. Anyone ever try this yet?

Nope, havent tried that one.Battlefield Earth would be perfect. I was about to rent it but the guys at the store were looking at me odd even when I wanted it as a comedy film. Well that and I can get it for free at blockbuster since Jess has coupons for there that she never uses.

Hi! I'm a new guy! I'll tell you one that shouldn't be riffed but my friends and I did a great job on- Slingblade. Sling Blade is a fantastic movie, but Karl (Billy Bob Thornton) and Doyle (Dwight Yoakum) are surprisingly easy to riff.

Hello, I'm new to these boards, saw this thread and had to post here first. My friend and I have been going through the large, local Family Video and renting every scifi/horror/fantasy movie in alphabetical order and trying to make fun of them once a week. We're only in the "B's". We sometimes have others join us, but it can be an excrutiating task sometimes.
Anyway, to the point. The movie Biker Zombies has to be the worst movie we've seen so far. Rented it last week. I wanted to put a bullet in my friend's head for even seeing it on the shelf. Oh, so horrible. And detestable. This must be what watching Manos without J&TB was like. I say that because it was filmed with a very low quality camera with plot points that had nothing to do with each other and every actor seemed to be struggling with remembering when to say their lines. Oh, bad bad bad.
Another horrible one was Planet of the Vampires. This Italian movie was the victim of poor translation it seems because there isn't a single vampire in the entire movie! We had a large group that night to watch this one, and it really sucked the life out of us.
There has been one gem in this whole movie watching experiment. While there, I found Ator: The Fighting Eagle, the movie before Cave Dwellers (episode 301, the first Ator movie is what was featured in the flashback). Infact, they had The Blademaster there (Cave Dwellers' real title) and The Iron Warrior. So I grabbed them all, took them up front and asked to buy them. They gave me a look like I was insane. Oh well. Cave Dwellers is one of my sister's favorite episodes, so I gave them to her. She loves them. Or Miles O'Keefe. Maybe she has a problem. For that matter, so may I.
