OH YEAH! And if the board is over run by preteens, it's not my fault.
Anyway, this whole story started when I decided to have a wonderful "riffing party" at my house. Two people came to this party. Right before the party I ran out, went to Circuit City, got THREE F-ING BOX SETS (thank you, Father!) volumes 1, 3, and 4, and came back home, delighted. Soon afterward my friends came. We ate pizza, and since I both told them about the show and told them that they must watch it or I will eat thier mothers, showed off my new box sets and asked if they wanted to watch it.
They both replied," I don't care."
So I forced them down on the couch and made them choose a box set (volume 1, I believe) and a episode (Bloodlust) Bloodlust was new to me, also, so we all had a new experience that night.
After going though the title sequence (mainly consisting of me saying, "That's Mike! That's Dr. Forrester! That's Frank!" and so on) We finally came to the actual show and was introduced to the short with strange farming people and children.
And, unexpectedly, THEY LAUGHED! They laughed through out the whole entire episodes, including the host segments, Dr. Forrester mother arriving, Gyspy calling her a bitch, and so on. My mom came down and asked, "Are you really enjoying this?" to my friends, and they eagerly nodded.
After that, we made fun of "The Amityville Horror". That was fun, despite everyone saying, "THAT WAS A GOOD MOVIE!!". A good tone was automatically set when, upon pressing the play button, there was a huge voice that screamed, "GET OUT!!" that was to be found nowhere else in the film (I think. We were talking a lot)
After THAT, I wanted to watched Gigli, which my mom said was horrible. However, the louder one of my friends said, "No! I don't want to watch 'Gigolo'!" So, again, we watched MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000. At first we were watching "Girl in Gold boots", but the loud friend complained it was too boring. So we got into our pajamas and watched the despictable "Overdrawn at the memory bank" Which I now believe to be my favorite episode. Yes, torturous, I know, but I had only previously saw approx. 30 minutes of this horror, and I had no idea about how bad it was. Toward the end, the loud friend was drowzy with horror and the quiet one was complaining, "When will this be over?" We were in critical condition, surviving only on the riffs, which were, luckily, plentiful.
So then, we wanted something to fall asleep on, so we chose, "Shorts:Vol 3" The loud friend fell asleep immediately as we were greeted with the animal crutelty short. Us two eventually feel asleep also, for laughing a lot can make you tired.
And then we woke up and did a lot of boring stuff that had nothing to do with MST3K. But I am proud hat I have now made two new lovers of MST3K.
