I don't know, I've never been offended by anything on MST either. Yes, it's sad when people and dogs and cute little kitties die in real life, but these are just movies. Besides, I feel that Mike and Joel and Kevin and Trace and all the rest are nice people, and there's no real malice intended with the jokes they make. I'm the biggest compassionate softy in the world, and I love animals, but I can honestly say that the guys have never made a joke that offended me.

Sorry... but the guys didn't make "lets burn the dog" jokes, in fact many of their riffs involved being repulsed by the ugly tone of the movie and condeming these terrible stories being told to a child. I have difficulty with this scene too but I don't fault MST for it. It was one of the many wholly inappropriate things to be found in the movie and was rightly highlighted by the MST gang. I blame the movie's writer/director/producer/whoever who thought a dog's slow death would make for a good scene in the first place. Isn't Kevin a dog lover in real life ? I doubt that he or the others thought the subject matter itself was all that funny (at least I hope not anyway).

The Rose Kennedy gags could be seen as tasteless, but they apologized for that. Aren't half of the German/Nazi jokes they make references to Dr. Strangelove anyway? I have no problem with that. (Oh, in the CC Mike episodes, keep an eye out for the "P.O.E." in the opening. ) In Neptune Men, they actually cut a lot of footage out because it was WW2 stock footage used to simulate the destruction, much of it very violent. The Hitler Building was kept in because it's so insane and messed up. So--yes, Neptune Men actually had faaaar longer battles. That's really offensive. Similarly, the rape/murder scene was cut from Sidehackers. I think they know just when stuff is sick but deserves to be made fun of, and when they should just leave it be. Some people's results may vary, but I can't say I was offended by the show, really.
