[glow=green,2,300]I was just struck by an epiphany here. Could the Political Party you've registered with determine your stance in the great Joel vs. Mike debate? I myself am a registered Independant voter and I pretty much try to remain non-partial on issues, taking in both sides of the argument in determining my opinions. As I stated before I think for what they both wanted to portray, Mike and Joel are equally great. And just as a sidenote, I can tell you for certain the reason why Joel vs. Mike discussions are banned in MST3K messageboards is because these arguments 99.9% of the time lead to bitter arguments and flaming. I mean the level of animosity was so severe even the Official Info Website FAQ has stated that it would be a good idea to put a moritorium on the Joel vs. Mike arguments to some degree. I'll paste it as soon as I find it.[/glow]

I'm registered Republican and I like both MST hosts.
So ... I don't know if that helps your theory any.

I go for both. I just started watching more Joel eps lately getting back into the early days. Even though Mike gives me a few extra chuckles I still have a fondness for Joel. Just something about his low-key attitude, but Mike just has more overall charisma.. to me anyway. They are like the yin and yang of mst, you cant have mst without either of them or something stupidly metophoric or "similayick" or whatever...
Im a liberal, registered democrat hoping the green gets a foothold in the next twelve years. Im as left as they come and in the end with much regret I'd finally jump on the mike wagon.
