Yeah, sometimes i'll be so busy at work that I can't even watch the show for an entire week. I'll then go on to watch like 6 episodes in a row on the weekend. I just don't get sick of the show!

MST3K is something that you can't quit cold turkey. The sudden plunge into several episodes in a row is your body's response to its craving for the dependency to MST3K that you've built up.
Healthier than illegal drugs, and less expensive too. So I've heard.

Definitely crack, although Hobgoblins may cause temporary insanity.

Are you trying to torture me, Forrest? I am coming up on three weeks without MST3K and I already mentioned the classic symptoms of withdrawal in my classic post (you'll want to print a few copies for your friends and wallpaper your trees with them, also insert this at random in Moby Dick and Proust and see how those works take on a new and inviting sheen)No MST3K for 3 Weeks and the Painkillers...oh, whatever. It hurts.
Go ahead and rub it in, buddy, I'm tough...
Anyway, the good news is the Doc said I can do light excercise, see movies and things now. But he didn't say specifically if I can laugh my ass off... I'll take my chances. If I bleed I bleed. I just got a Mclarge load of season 4 and I'm tackling Attack of the Leeches first.
You know it's very difficult for me to make it through a normal week without watching an ep, because my wife insists I watch new ones with her. it's almost all we watch anymore. Two or three on a weekend at least. On vacations everyday.
Oh, and I haven't been subjected to Hobnoblins yet...

So the big question here is: What can destroy your brain more? Crack or Hobgoblins? I haven't had crack so I couldn't say. Unfortunetly I have had Hobgoblins.

I actually took a long MST hiatus. I went about six months withour watching an ep. Then BAM! I was back, buying up every DVD I could and I watch at least part of an ep every day. (along with MASH)
My goal is to have every ep on DVD in a couple of months.

My husband hates MST - if we ever divorce, I KNOW it's going to come up in the proceedings!
Anyway, I hate weekends, because he's around and I can't watch them. Drives me crazy! I've been unemployed since November (but I think I've got a job, so wish me luch) and I know when I start back to work I'm going to die - no more afternoon MST!

Do you ever feel irreparably damaged by your abuse of MST3K? I do. I can't watch anything now without wanting to riff it. Damn. I was watching the Bicycle Thief again last week and I blurted out a couple zingers...to myself, I was alone. And it was the goddamned Bicycle Thief! Still, this time around I noticed some funny little thangs.

. I can't watch anything now without wanting to riff it. I can't make it through the week without most evenings with an MST3K fix. Luckily my episode collection is growing so there is longer and longer spaces between viewing the same episode. But I must admit that I am pretty addicted to the show. I hardly watch anything else now on the TV. I did not have cable for many years so I still haven't seen the majority of episodes produced in the 10 years it was on, so I guess I'm lucky that way. A lot of it is fresh to me as I catch up. I agree I am starting to riff on everything else I watch now. I really have to hold my tongue when my wife and I are watching something together. Sometimes I do it unconscienciously and am gently reminded that someone else wants to watch without my comments.

I usually average one episode a week, usually broken up into quarters during the weekends. Its hard to watch my DVD episodes becuase my family doesn't like the show very much, so I watch the DVD's on the computer.
But yeah, 1 episode a week steady for the last like, 6 years. Occasionally I get to 2 a week, but usually just 1.
And crack is worse than Hobgoblins because its addicting. Hobgoblins seems to be anti-adicting.

I find that after watching MST for 6-7 years like I have that I see the flaws in movies way easier, and my family hates me for it. I also find it hard not to riff on anything thats not comedy based. This also annoys my family a lot. But I'm not gonna stop watching MST ever, so I guess they just have to get used to it, or me move out when I'm 18 or something.

Rows, YOU NEED HELP respectfully, LMD Next you're going to tell me you riffed Open City or, gasp, Umberto D. ("Hey, that old man really misses his pooch")
