Am I the only one who doesn't consider "Hobgoblins" an awful movie? It is bad, but I've seen worser movies on MST3k. Well, anyone? Am I the only one?

I didn't think Hobgoblins was as painful a movie as say Overdrawn at the Memory Bank,Creeping Terror,or Skydivers, however I consider it a horrible film that fails as both a horror and a comedy.

Let's just be thankful that we wern't subjected to Rick Sloane's other classic (besides all those other softcore movies he does) "The Visitants"...

Yes count me as one who hates that movie. It mocks everything that is decent and good in life, and I guess that's not much.

He made ANOTHER scifi ripoff?! Unfortunatly, yes. Like I said, all of his other movies are softcore "comedy" titles, with a few exceptions. Just look at his filmography... www.imdb.com/name/nm0806064/

Hobgoblins is the complete opposite of a good movie. It's horrible people! It's not Manos horrible, it's not Creeping Terror horrible, it is, easily, the worst movie ever made. Or at least tied with Big Daddy. The only thing I disagree with Forrest is that you think it still made a good MST episode.

It wasn't that painful for me either. I think its a good episode to show someone who hasn't seen MST3K before.
I liked the part where Mike says something about the vault door not being locked.

Yup. The show is about bad movies, right? It definitely is, if I remember correctly...

Yup. The show is about bad movies, right? Yes of course. But as we all know there are different kinds of "bad" movies. Some are cheesy campy bad that are fun on there own. Some are painfully unmatchable bad. What makes the difference? That can't be defined, it's a matter of personal opinion. And despite what MightyJack thinks I believe that makes a lot of difference about how receptive you are to the humor of an episode.

Hey, Mighty Jacks just more in tune with the comedy than the movie. What can I say.
'Goblins isn't the the worst, it's garbage sure. But it's not as technically inept as Manos or Red Zone Cuba.

You know, I managed to survive Hobgoblins, but for some reason, the Visitants frightens me! The fact that Rick Sloane directed a Laserblast rip-off, the thought of it alone is very scary! I think I doubted Rick Sloane's evil "B-movie" skills! Crow and Mike should've let Tom go back in time again and beat up Sloane. Thank God I never saw it!
