I know there was one Simpsons episode in which you could see the Shadorama silhouette on the TV at Moe's...does anyone else know of any MST3K references from other TV shows?

All I can think of right now is that episode of Futurama where Fry, Bender, Leela, and the rest were at the movies. We see Fry's sitting in a theater and he says something then the screen moves over to the side and we see Crow saying "Don't talk during the movie!"
There was also an episode of Wings where What's-his name (I don't remember, he whas the idiot brother guy) turned off the sound of the TV and added his own lines to the movie. Might not be a reference though.
I just watched the Lion King 1 1/2 which had a MST3K vibe going through it.

I know there was one Simpsons episode in which you could see the Shadorama silhouette on the TV at Moe's... That episode was "Who Shot Mr. Burns? Part 1". Here's a site I came across that lists quite a few MST3K refs from other media (not just television): www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Set/9859/mstsight.html

That episode was "Who Shot Mr. Burns? Part 1". I didn't notice it till I read about it. Then I saw the rerun. The shadowrama is light gray, not black. You wouldn't really notice it unless you were looking for it. I guess that's good, makes it more subtle.

Sabrina, the Teenage Witch
In the episode "Geek Like Me," where Sabrina makes everbody a geek to teach snobby Libby a lesson, Harvey, Sabrina's boyfriend, remarks after being turned into a nerd, "I suddenly have this urge to watch every single episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000."
I have the sudden urge to punch Mellissa Joan Hart in the face. But considering Frank used to work on that show, I'll let it slide. It was probably a joke he came up with or a jab at him, anyway.

Yeah,I think it was Al Jean,Simpsons producer, who said on a commentary that he was proud when a year later he was watching Mystery Science Theater 3000 and was proud when he heard a "MENDOZA!" riff.

I'm not sure if this counts, but the Ocean's Eleven (remake) dvd has a commentary with Brad Pitt. Right at the beginning he jokes "Remember that Mystery Science Theater show, let's make jokes like that." or something along those lines anyway.
In 1998, on Talk Soup they showed a clip from the MST3k Academy Awards special when they were riffing on Greg Kinnear (Former Talk Soup host) being beat up by current host, John Henson.

My memory is kinda hazy on this one, so bear with me...
A few years back, on a "episode" of Pop-Up Video on VH1. They were showing a video by Prince ( or whatever the hell his name was at the time ). I think the song was called "The Most Beautiful Girl in the World". Anyway, at some point there are silhouettes of people looking at some woman on a stage and a pop-up bubble came on talking about MST3K. Unfortunately, I don't remember what it was they actually said about the show.
Man, is that vague enough?

It was amost certainly written by him. If you notice a lot of the MST3K is a little self loathing (Mike talking about getting beat up by Miles O'Keefe in the ACEG is an example). Plus I doubt anyone on the show would want to make fun of Frank's previous work.

Right at the beginning he jokes "Remember that Mystery Science Theater show, let's make jokes like that." or something along those lines anyway. I've heard a lot of commentary references to MST3K. Evil Dead II During the end credits, Sam Raimi says "The winner and Still Photographer." A reference to something Mike says during the end credits of Mystery Science Theater 3000: the Movie. Blade II Wesley Snipes starts making fun of the movie and David Goyer says "Now we're doing Mystery Science Theater." Ghostbusters May not really be a reference, but Ivan Reitman, Harold Ramis, and some other guy sit in small theater seats at the bottom of the screen.
