It never would have or could have made it, but I'd love to see what could be done with the steaming pile of poo called JASON X. Has anyone ever successfully made it through this movie? It was too ridiculous for me - I was embarrassed for all involved... You know how much I love the Friday The 13th films and even I thought that one was almost unwatchable. I think it would be good riffing material though. Hell, they all would. I think it would be great to have them do part four though. It's one of my favorites in the series, and I can't even imagine what they would say about everyone's favorite weirdo, Crispin Glover being in the film. I'm sure we would get a few McFly jokes thrown in there! |

I just watched Tentacles on the Encore Action channel.
Its a killer octopus story with peter fonda, shelly winters, John huston and a bunch of italians pretending to be californians.
It has everything you could hope for: a silly ridiculous plot, terrible acting, out of control editing, dramatic music for an anchor being lowered and sails taken down. Dialogue that has nothing to do with whats happening in the scene. Plenty of scenes of characters faces without any dialogue; perfect for riffing. It even has a big fat guy in a swim suit that would make Bruno Vesato stand up and take notice.
There is one scene where in the background after a guy has gotten out of a little rubber boat it looks like for all the world he is tossing treats to it like it was a dolphin.
And to top it all of there is a scene that would rival the sandstorm of herc vs the moonmen
Underwater rock climbing!!!! Tumbling choral falling at 3 feet a year traps diver and cuts air hose! As the score goes crazy and killer whales fight the octopus!!
This could have been the ep. best ever.

Ax 'em -never seen it, but it's supposed to be really bad.
Any Lifetime movie would have been good
Bad Magic- Has acting, editing, and music that would make even Colman Francis cringe.
original House on Haunted Hill- really cheesy with the fake skeleton

THE INCREDIBLE TWO-HEADED TRANSPLANT: Casey Kasem as the hero. Bruce Dern as a mad scientist. And the worst two-headed effect ever!
ZARDOZ: 90+ mins of pure weirdness.

Damn you, detective! (shaking fist) I was just about to post Xanadu. You beat me to the Schlitz. Xanadu has got to be (in addition to Jaws III) one of my all-time favorite, kick-in-the-dilithium-sack bad movies. When I was a kid, I once spent an entire misbegotten, glassy-eyed summer absorbing every frame of Olivia gyrating suggestively on roller-skates in those frilly, short skirts on HBO, and I can honestly say that I took a major leap toward manhood.  |

I don't blame you Mr. Schlitz. She and the soundtrack were the only reasons to watch.
I've got more suggestions:
FROGS: Ray Milland and his clan are attacked by frogs, lizards, and other assorted wildlife on his birthday. Need I say more?
PAPARAZZI: The celebrity version of DEATH WISH.
CAN'T STOP THE MUSIC: The Village People musical that's as painful to watch as RED ZONE CUBA.

I wish the MST3k team had done a few '70's era Kung Fu movies. So much cheesiness. It would have been like shooting fish in a barrel. One movie in particular that would have been perfect riff fodder is FANTASY MISSION FORCE, a Kung Fu romp starring Jackie Chan and a team of misfits battling Japanese Nazis who ride around in Swastika-covered '70's era cars. Agonybooth.com wrote up a great review for it (and I watched it for the first time myself last night. Woah. For those of you who've never taken hallucinogens and wonder what the experience would be like- just watch this movie. It's friggin INSANE.)

Troll 1 & 2 would have been excellent choices. Especially where the main characters name is Harry Potter and he gets involved with magic.
But Troll 2 has absolutely nothing to do with 1. None of the same characters or concepts, it was a real bad stinkburger that ws trying to capitalize on what little popularity that 1 had. Troll 2 is among the worst movies ever and would have been great to see it riffed.

I know it's been mentioned already, but Wild Guitar with Arch Hall Jr. would have been absolutely perfect for the MST3K treatment. Even better than Eegah, IMHO. It's been said that Mary Jo rejected it, but I can't imagine why. It would have been great.

I've never seen it, but this movie sounds like ideal MST3K material: The Horror at 37,000 Feet (1973) Starring... Chuck Connors, Buddy Ebsen, William Shatner, Paul Winfield, Tammy Grimes, Roy Thinnes (aka the guy from "The Invaders" TV show), and Russell Johnson (aka the Professor from "Gilligan's Island" and "This Island Earth" - hey, the man's got a thing for islands!). Just imagine all of the riffs this cast alone would generate! As for the plot, this '70s TV-movie is set aboard a plane with the usual Disaster Movie mishmash of characters, but this time with an ancient Druid altar in the cargo hold as an added bonus. Soon, some demon or something escapes from the altar and cheesy crap ensures. Here's a funny review of it. This movie sounds like it practically riffs itself, and would've made for a classic episode of MST3K! |
