I've never seen it, but this movie sounds like ideal MST3K material: The Horror at 37,000 Feet (1973) Starring... Chuck Connors, Buddy Ebsen, William Shatner, Paul Winfield, Tammy Grimes, Roy Thinnes (aka the guy from "The Invaders" TV show), and Russell Johnson (aka the Professor from "Gilligan's Island" and "This Island Earth" - hey, the man's got a thing for islands!). Just imagine all of the riffs this cast alone would generate! As for the plot, this '70s TV-movie is set aboard a plane with the usual Disaster Movie mishmash of characters, but this time with an ancient Druid altar in the cargo hold as an added bonus. Soon, some demon or something escapes from the altar and cheesy crap ensures. Here's a funny review of it. This movie sounds like it practically riffs itself, and would've made for a classic episode of MST3K! This does sound great, and it also reminds me how much fun it would've been had they redone "SST Death Flight" on cable. With the higher-quality riffing from the post-KTMA years, it would have been a blast.

PAPARAZZI: The celebrity version of DEATH WISH. Um, I thought that was a fairly decent movie. Now, small time crooks. From bank robbers to cookie sellers to a romance subplot, to me leaving the theater halfway in.

Hmmm. Guess I may have to watch PAPARAZZI again...
Anyway, I have a very valid suggestion:
NATIONAL LAMPOON'S MOVIE MADNESS: The most unfunny comedy ever made with a true waste of star power: Robby Benson, Richard Widmark, Christopher Lloyd, Peter Riegert, Diane Lane, Candy Clark, Mary Woronov, Ann Dusenberry, Robert Culp, Joe Spinell, Margaret Whitton, Fred Willard, Olympia Dukakis, Dick Miller, Elisha Cook, Jr, Julie Kavner, Henny Youngman, Harry Reems (yes, THAT Harry Reems), and Rhea Perlman.

Tony Malonowski's Night of Horror. You thought the driving scenes in Manos went on and on without end? Well here comes Night of Horror. A character reads a Lord Byron poem, the entire poem with no editing for 2 minutes!! Oh you want for day/night switches in singke scenes, well they're here too. Watch for the cameo appearance by Smudgie. -cs™

There was a movie starring Chuck Connors that was made in my hometown called "Terror Squad." imdb.com/title/tt0094125/ It has everything you need for good riffing, including a geek who gets his jollies by watching workout videos, cars that explode at the drop of a hat, and a normal-size bus that conveniently becomes a "short bus" just before it gets hit by a train. (Seriously! you see the train coming, cut to the big bus, cut back to the train, cut back to the... what's this? a short bus! shown in full profile!, cut back to the train, then the bus gets hit by the train. No Shame!) Then there was the slight inconsistancies that only a local person would notice, but there is still PLENTY of fodder for anyone!

Ah yes I've heard of this flick. The compacting bus was a highlight, has a Hobgoblins vibe to it. Read a great review of it here!-cs™

SUPERFUZZ
It's been years since I've seen it but it's about a cop who gets these super powers but they go away every time he sees the color red (?!) Ernest Borgnine plays his bumbling sidekick. At the end the supercop puts gum in his mouth and blows a gigantic bubble that he and Ernest float on top of. The bubble was very obviously a hot air balloon. Reminded me of the hangliding scene in Cave Dwellers. Awful, awful movie.

Oh, man! Superfuzz! I remember that one. It would definitely be good MST material because it's one of those Italian movies that tried to be an American movie.

Dear God in Heaven I have seen this movie! At a movie theater at that!
Even at 9 years old I was thinking "wow this flick's really lame!"
Oh the theme song! Think a standard disco beat and the lyrics were along the lines of: He's a super super A super duper trooper (Cuz he's a cop) He's a really super super super guy!
Yes those are the lyrics, calling it half assed is putting it nicely!

"Night Patrol"
The Unknown Comic. It makes a great deal of fun of itself, but it's still yucky enough for it.

Very true. And it's certainly no worse than the "Idiot Patrol Now" song in Pod People.
I think "Alligator" would have also been good MST3K fodder.
