Ok, so I'm in Season 10 now, and I've already heard numerous references to crapping on airline food carts. Can someone explain this to me? Referring to 1999 news story. Air rage...all the rage in the '90s. My favorite line in reference to that was something along these lines: "The man's friends were baffled, and said this incident was totally out of character for him. Really? And just for whom would it be in character?"

In the host segment in Squirm, when Mike's all in his labcoat and tie, hooking up the little worm to the electrode, what song is he humming to himself?

Love me some Peter Wolf. He was the lead singer of the J. Geils Band, then had some fun solo stuff. His 1987 album, "Come As You Are" is a lot of fun.
Not to be confused with the Peter Wolf who played keyboards with Frank Zappa and went on to co-write and produce great '80s cheese for Starship, Heart, Wang Chung, Go West, The Escape Club, and El Debarge.
And that's your esoteric '80s trivia for the day.

I can't get a search of the board to give any hits, so i'll ask here, anyone ever figure out what EEEOODDDD! (Ed) was a reference? was it even a movie they did?

Can you give more context?

It's a thing they throw out in lots of films in the later era. Mostly Sci Fi era. They do this heavily accented old lady gravelly voice and say "Ed!" or "Eyod!" or "Wait up Ed!" I gather there was some question as to whether it was something from a previous movie they were doing a callback to, or if it was something from a movie they watched but never did on the show and therefore we'd never get the reference.

Somebody with a broader knowledge of the later episodes will have to chime in, I can honestly say I've never noticed that.

This isn't Servo's The Beverly Hillbillies Granny voice is it? That was "Jed", not "Ed". And it was pretty much just Servo.
Probably not the right answer. Sorry.

I was originally going to suggest that, but I then thought the question was instead referring to the long "Eddddddd-AH" (with that last "AH" being more of an exaggerated exhale rather than changing the whole word from Ed to Eda.), that would occasionally come up in at least the Sci-Fi years, because I'm clearly remembering Bill's Crow saying it. But then I look back at the original question and can't say that it necessarily was a Old Lady voice, so maybe you're right in the first place, Atari!

No, it's not Granny from the Beverly Hillbillies, not "Jeeeeeeeeeeed!" but "Eddddd-ah" as suggested above. Though Mike tends to say "Eyod".
Mike and Crow (Bill C.) both say it, and it sounded sort of like a gravelly old lady to me. Though maybe that's because I think they did it in Leech Woman with the ancient wrinkly dried apple head woman.

I know exactly what you're talking about but I don't have any idea either. I'm curious too actually
