I know what you're thinking: Do my eyes deceive me? Am I seeing this right? Did Mr. Atari actually post a cat picture!?! Call the fire department! Calm down. It's just a picture of Death personified*, which is far less horrific. The kitten is merely decorative. It's not that remarkable. You know what I do find remarkable: the current mortality rate of the human race is holding steady at about 100%. And yet, whenever it happens to someone, it feels so...well, wrong. You'd think that the singular thing common to all of our existence would feel more commonplace. Odd. Some people are more afraid of death than others. I suppose it has something to do with one's belief of what comes (or doesn't come) after death. Or maybe the fear is more rooted in what one might be leaving behind. I'm not sure I fear death. But I'll tell you what I do fear: Getting on an airplane with Peter Graves. Or seeing Bart Fargo in swim trunks. Or being accosted by an effeminate Ren-fest wannabe with a wooden sword. Or being in a semi-truck loaded with explosives and no brakes, with my only hope being a crazed hillbilly who wants me to "come up on his mudflaps". *shudder* And you? *This version comes from Terry Pratchett's always amazing Discworld novels. You should read some.

Another great weekly waste of time, Mr. A!
The ridiculous science (both, invisibility and tripolodine) in Riding with Death, coupled with visible panty lines and pantomine gets my vote.

^But features the music of that one hack country dude, whatever his name was, the spiders and snakes guy. Which can't even come close to the cool sophistication of Bop Ba Da Da Dada or Watermelon Man and the Jerry Reed look alike. Danger! Death Ray! wins by a landslide.

Deathstalker for me. The stupid sword fighting scenes make it more than worth it. And remember: potatoes are what we eat!

Danger! Twist Tie for me. No turkey's...no potatoes...just great tunes and manly sunglasses.

Easy choice, Danger! Death Ray is one of my favorite episodes that doesn’t feature a goofy monster. Unless you count the Frog Guy as a monster. Or the death ray.

Well, Mr. Atari, if Death likes kittens, then they can't be all bad.
I agree that this is a difficult choice. Deathstalker deserved every bit of its drubbing. The "hero" is disgustingly smug and the villian was over-the-top hilarious. There were some terrific riffs: "I have to say... she was all-right-a." Riding with Death had a brilliant first half (though I don't care for the overdone gay jokes during the "coming up on my mudflaps" sequence). The second half wasn't as good, IMO, though some of the riffs on Cupcake are stellar. All in all, for greatest overall riffing satisfaction, I have to go with Danger! Death Ray. The guys have so much fun and make so many good riffs on this goofy movie that I enjoy it every time.

Deathstalker, Danger! Death Ray and Riding With Death are all mint episodes (haven't seen SST Death Flight). However, as Riding With Death is one of my all time favorite episodes, ever, in the history of anything and easily in my top 10, it wins by a mile. I think it's consistently funny throughout and unabashedly mean and spiteful. There are just too many amazing things in this episode to count-- Ben Murphy being stupid and incompetent, Jim Stafford being loud and gross, William Sylvester cleaning his glasses, and Abby disappearing from the movie halfway through only to appear at random intervals, watching Sam from what is apparently heaven. Contains possibly one of the funniest riffs of all time: Something to the degree of "Attended Harvard Law School 1983..." Mike: "Under operation 'admit the dumb'." I'm laughing just typing it. I wonder what kept Abby? She's some gal...

Even though I think Riding With Death is an overrated episode, I still like it the best out of these. It takes first followed closely by SST Death Flight.

Danger! Conundrum!
Boy, talk about a difficult choice! I'm going to choose Riding With, but it's almost a coin toss between it and D!DR.
D!DR is actually fresher in my mind, having just watched it again about two weeks ago, whereas I have not watched Riding in months, but somehow I still selected it as the laugh-per-minute winner.

Difficult choice between Danger and Riding, but in the end I went with extreme mellowness.

Any one of these is a top-notch episode in its respective era. Despite the fact that I always think "Riding with Death" is "Agent from H.A.R.M." EVERY SINGLE TIME IT IS MENTIONED, it is still a classic episode, and one of the ones I rewatch regularly. Every one of the others is great as well. I abstain from this on moral grounds.
