I wanted to make a tom servo, but I didn't want to go and spend forever tracking down/buying the appropriate parts, so I made my own out of recycled parts you can find at home! If anyone wants to learn to make their own, ask me here and I'll post some instructions. It's not the most accurate/perfect tom ever, but I like it, and it impresses my friends! Video on YouTube

Awww...that's cute! My only suggestion would be to try and find something larger for his hover skirt...I don't think Tom would be able to float with the one he's got. He'd topple over!! But props for being creative!

AAH, sorry for the huge bump, but my internet was being very crappy and I couldn't reply to your messages for almost a month, so here goes.
to gripweed: The very top is the end of a water bottle painted red. The "ball" is a large plastic christmas ornament, painted white. The part under the ball is a Vitamin Water bottle painted red The mouth is a bottlecap. The middle part is a common plastic jar. The shoulders are the tops of Vitamin Water bottles The arms are made of some wire curled like a spring. The hands are cut out of cardboard. The hoverskirt is a paper bowl.
to Queen Shadowrama: Yes, I know the hoverskirt is tiny, but I'm actually going to replace it with a larger plastic bowl sometime this weekend if I have any time.
