IS THE ROCK THE NEXT MITCHELL?! He'll really have to let himself go.
If it did happen who would you cast as Greta the whore, John Saxon's character, and who would be Martin Balsam's role?
Is the world ready for Mitchell 3? (Mitchell 2 being Final Justice)

"Martin Balsam's role - Why not Martin Balsam?"
because...
Martin Balsam
Date of birth 4 November 1914 The Bronx, New York, USA Date of death 13 February 1996 Rome, Italy. (heart attack)

So what, he'd still be fine.

After giving it some more thought Martin Balsam being dead may have a bad effect on his performance. So I'm going to sugest Gene Hackman. He's good in everything.

I saw the previews for it in the theater the other day. When the title came up at the end of the preview, I couldn't resist blurting out "Starring Joe Don Baker" when it got quiet.

Okay, here's a question. Do we want this movie to be good, or do we want it to warrant a solid riffing?
I don't know what I want.

I don't think there's much doubt it will warrant a solid riffing. Bit I am bitter and jadded.

At first I was joking, but now that I think about it, The Rock wouldn't make that bad of a badass cop. I mean he can be a somewhat unlikeable character but still pull sympathy if you have seen his wrestling promos. Ironically his former tag-team partner Mick Foley will be starring in a TV cop show pilot soon.

From what I've seen, The Rock is actually trying to be a decent actor. I've not seen enough of his work to know if he's succeeding in his endeavor, but I've gotta at least respect the guy for trying. Maybe you're right and a cop role isn't such a bad gig.

The diologue in the Scorpion King was just soooooooooooo cheesey that not even Michael Clarke Duncun could have turned in a good performance with it. I think the Rock could have a shot at being the first wrestler that can actually be considered an actor.

Isn't acting a prerequisite for wrestling, though?

Isn't acting a prerequisite for wrestling, though? No, just blocking and rehearsing. ;D
