Due to minor surgery, I am currently at home, housebounded, recuperating nicely (really nothing major...don't cry for me Agent Tina) BUT CAN NOT LAUGH HARD FOR SEVERAL WEEKS! I have a major MST addiction and now that the painkillers have worn off I can detail the symptoms of withdrawal:
urge to riff on anything, even fish in the aquarium...
need to come up with zany skits around such things as putting frozen dinner in the oven...
hours spent looking at photos of gumball machines on the internet (there are such sites my friend)
over consumption of waffles and sandwiches
hitting the kitchen table and yelling "Movie sign!" when wife comes home from work
I could go on, but it's (I'm) just not that funny....
I have watched the following movies:
Angry Red Planet (snooooze) The Piano Teacher (intense) Lion in Winter (family counseling is not a bad thing) Night of the Lepus (worth it to hear DeForest Kelly intone, "Right.") Monolith Monsters ("Look! The dog's rock hard":actual line of dialog) and many more...
any suggestions what else to watch...

Oh yes, I have suggestions.... Frogs - just plain horrible. you'll LOVE it! They Live - Rowdy Roddy Piper vs Aliens with sunglasses Flash Gordon (1980) this has one of my all time favorite lines in it. "What do you mean, 'Flash Gordon approching?' OPEN FIRE!!! ALL WEAPONS! Dispatch war-rocket Ajax to bring back his body!" Space 1999 collection - excellent Martin Landau and great to watch while healing. It has an enormous anethsetic quility to it. The Hideous Sun Demon - 1959 - Robert Clark & Patricia Manning Need I say more? Phantom of the Paradise - 1974 because ya just gotta KISS meets the Phantom of the Theme Park oh yeah! Come to poppa www.kissdominion.com/PHANTOM.HTM Logn's Run This is a gret one to riff

Cool sugg's, Tranq... I've seen Frogs many times (yes, I said many times) also seen Phatom of Paradise (DePalma's a hoot when he doesn't imitate HitchBuchanan) Flash Gordon...tried to watch years ago...too painful. Saw Logan's Run at the Drive-in when it first came out. Funny you mentioned the Kiss movie...this is one of my best friend's favorite movies. I guess I do have to see it. Hid Sun Demon sounds about right. Still haven't seen it, maybe because I resist movies without John Agar in them (just kidding)
Have you seen Queen Kong? I've been thinking about it...but I'm scared to take the plunge

I went to my video stor looking for something to rent. Found myself in the horror section and looking at the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies. I only saw the first three (1 and 2 were enjoyable, 3 was mediocre). I almost rented Texas Chainsaw Massacre: the Next Generation, but then I looked at the back cover and saw a picture of Leatherface in a tight miniskirt and pantyhose. I went "GAH!," put it down, and slowly backed away.
That one looks like it's begging for a good riffing. Or you could try Jason X or Crocodile. Both of those should be child's play.

No, I'm possitive it was Texas Chainsaw Massacre: the Next Generation. It was in the horror section, that's appropriat because that was one of the scariest things I've ever seen.
