I was reading about Invader Zim and people were talking about Comedy Central pre South Park, I guess really the MST3K era.
My question is what programming did Comedy Central and it's precursors the Comedy Channel and HA! have? All I know is MST3K and Politically Incorrect which both me and my father watched when I was very young.
What are really the memorable eras of Comedy Central? Is it like I think the MST3K era (1989-1996) and then South Park/newer era (1996-today)?

They mostly did stand up as I understand it. They also re-aired shows from other networks, Dream On and Kids in the Hall for example.
Aside from what you mentioned as far as original programing: There was Dr. Katz and later on around 1996, the Daily Show. And a couple of specials, like "Out There" and Al Franken heckling Bush Sr. state of the union address.

I miss Dr. Katz & The Tick (cartoon). Wish they would release them on DVD.

Since they owned the rights to it and it was a comedy anyway did they ever show Catalina Caper uncut?
Same thing with Wild World of Batwoman (since it was intential camp)?
