The most derogatory show in the world is the Littlest Groom. It's a shame how they treat little people like children and circus freaks.

I agree but, I saw the guy they're doing the show with on VH1 I believe and he's all proud of the show. It just goes to show how much self-esteem people really have when it comes to money and their 15 minutes of fame. Like the Million Dollar Man said, "Everyone has a price" And, sadly, he was right. Servo I love Ted DiBiase, he should have been WWF Champion. Dave Meltzer says that he was a low draw but if he would have been booked correct... Oh Wait, sorry I thought I was talking on the wrestling board, my other passion. Nevermind.

Servo Why not exploit another race group, like blacks and Asians and have them choose between people similar to them and blonde white chicks? The answer is simple. The other groups have more representation and fewer people to insult.

Oh Wait, sorry I thought I was talking on the wrestling board, my other passion. Nevermind. Well, since this is the Mind of Rick Sloane, we can talk about whatever we like. DiBiase was never booked properly. He was one of the best technical wrestlers ever and his gimmick was sweet. The Million Dollar Belt ruled. I always wanted one. Servo

Speaking of wrestling... Am I the only one who remembers Kerry von Erich? I remember watching him on some fly-by-night UHF station in the mid-80s on a WWF knock-off. His signature move was the Iron Claw- basically grabbing his opponent's forehead and squeezing his temples.

I actually have an old tape from the 80's that I found laying around the other day with them fighting the Four Horsemen. Wicked. The Iron Claw was vicious man. I bet he caused many a headache with that deadly hand. Servo

And that the "WWF knock-off" (WCCW) was better than anything the WWF ever put out. WCCW was the local wrestling promotion out of Texas and it was nothing close to a WWF knock off. It had better wrestling, better storylines, and better crowds. It was part of the NWA federation of wrestling groups. It had brawls, technical wrestling, and great charismatic wrestlers. It only failed due to the tragic deaths of the Von Erich family and Jim Crockett monopolizing the NWA title. To read more about the WCCW look here- www.kayfabememories.com/Regions/wccw/wccw.htm

There were two other Von Erich boys, one died in childhood, the other Chris never really teamed with his brothers and committed suicide. I think you mean they were fighting the Fabulous Freebirds the 4 Horsemen were never in the same region. Although Ric Flair made frequent title defenses in the Texas area. Yes, I'm a wrestling geek or smark.

He was one of my fav wrestlers of all time and I never get tired of talking about how underrated and underused he was. Well, we've successfully turned this thread into something cooler already. If only we were TV execs. Servo

I have no opinion on them because I don't watch them.
There. The problem went away.

I didn't mean that it wasn't as good as the WWF. I just remember watching WCCW all the time, then going to school where everyone was talking about Andre the Giant, Hillbilly Jim, and Rowdy Roddy Piper. I'd bring up Iceman King Parsons and they'd all look at me like I was Hungarian or something.
And no, I'm not from Texas, but I remember really liking the Von Erichs.
