I can't hide it any longer. I taught Timothy Van Patten to speak the way he does in master Ninja I and II. I needed the money and it was either that or pose for Playgirl magazine. I can't tell you how sorry I am for the damage I caused. Oh yeah I also pitched the idea for Stranded In Space. I feel such a burden has been lifted.

It's me Glenn, glad to see you use this board too! As some of you may know, I too worked on the Master Ninja movies as well. I was the 2nd assistant director and have to also admit some of the guilt of helping Tim (or Timmy as I and his close friends know him) along with his career.. You see I usually just get donuts with sprinkles and stuff for the cast, but when Timmy's mom left for an emergency kidney exchange, I had to replace her as Timmy's ...well uh "wiper". Yeah it really sucked donkey nuts, but the thing is I think I used a little too much pressure on a few occasions and noticed a speech pattern change after every ..."harsh wipe". Anyways just also wanted to apologize. Hey Phantom, don't forget our movie motto......And a hey hey hey hey hey and a do/ we work on movies cause that's what we dooooooo/ ayonk ayonk ayonka zim boom beeeeee!

Well, as long as the gerbil was his idea. It was, wasn't it? Funny story. The gerbil wasn't in the original script. One day it just followed Max (he stayed in charcter on the set so we called him Max), just followed Max to the set. The director saw their natural chemistry and similar hygiene habits and the rest is history. Long, boring history. And no, the gerbil was never shaved, but it did get a perm once but it looked too much like Greg Brady.

How the hell did Lee Van Cleef become the master ninja? It's all political. And he did all his own stunts. At least the standing around parts.

Watching the Sopranos opener sunday, I was shocked to note that one Tim Van Patten was credited with directing the episode.
Does anyone know if they're the same?

Yes they are one and the same.
He has established himself as a respected television director. He has also worked on Sex and the City.
