chure, i got friends there's Bob, from the mentle institution, he lives in my head normally but right now he's in canada trying to blow up some town.... ;D But yeah it's great having friends, they teach all the cool drinking games... the only thing that sucks is when you've got friends and then you have to go to a different country cause you gotta finish up school in the USA, and you never know when you'll see them again... yeah that's the down fall.

Allow me to elaborate... In junior high, I had a few close friends who, one-by-one, either: 1. Became druggies 2. Moved to Butt Scratch, Alabama or some other desolate far-away part of the country 3. Got jobs and lives, and decided they were too good to be around me anymore. Throughout high school, I was friends with many people in my classes...but that was it. Once school ended, I was on my own. Now in college...I cease to exist to the world. Eh, the human race is overrated, especially my "whatever, yo." generation...let them swagger around in their puffy baseball caps, baggy sweatpants, gold chains, and pierced eyebrows...I'll be in the library, reading "Extraordinary Popular Delusions And The Madness Of Crowds"

True dat, yo. Reading is good, especially if it's smart stuff like that. Not romance novels. You don't read romance novels do you?
It's hard to make long-lasting friends in college. I've made a lot of friends, but our time together was temporary. Transient friendships. I have friends now, but I hardly ever see them or talk to them. But I have a fiance', who is of course my best friend, and his older brother is also my friend, so things aren't too bad.

I tried reading those things..once...I can tell you the plot for every single one. They hate eachother, they share a look (or kiss or more commonly bed) and fall in love They deny it/or one knows it and chases after the other They share a bueatiful and very detailed night together, and live happily ever after. there now you know what happens in all Sandra Brown books DO NOT READ

Best day ever. My asshole best friend was bragging about how well he did on the Math test( 96), and, today he was absent so when the teacher gave back the tests I turned his over. He got a 78. I laughed my ass off all day. He never shows me his grades but just says he got a 90-something for every grade, so I wonder how many of these grades he got.

Variation on old Woody Allen/Groucho Marx joke:
I would never want to have a friend who would have a friend like me for a member... ;D
(note: word play is purely intentional)

I ended up the exact same way! My best friend became a druggie who drifts in and out of jobs, going to jail time to time for various reasons. It's too bad, because he was damn smart.

You tried reading one "once" and you know how the plot for every single one goes? OK. I'll take your word for it. Once I meant there was a period in my life that I attempted reading a few because I have this sorta friend that constantly blathered about how they where soo good. I decided to see what all the fuss was about and checked out a few from the library, 5ish that she said where good, took me less than a week to read them they where very simple. I found the titles of three of them hilariuos "Texas! Lucky", "Texas! Chase" "Texas! Sage" well maybe you'd have to hearthem to get the joke but yeah. that's how i know all the plots.

Allow me to elaborate... In junior high, I had a few close friends I wish I had friends in Junior High. It's connected to the High School, so I didn't have to switch buildings.

I didn't actually read all of it, just the first quarter and then skimmed the rest. It had that same basic plot, but with some twists. The setting was in the time of the Vikings, and the main hero guy was a Viking. He bought a boy slave who captivated him with his eyes. The slave had been kidnapped from his tribe. Obviously, the slave didn't like the Viking. Then it was revealed that the boy slave was actually a girl slave (14 years old). Her hair was cut short and she was so undernourished that she looked like a boy. They share a bed one night, in which a detailed description follows, then they deny that they like each other. The Viking realizes he loves her, and proceeds to try to win her love. She ends up being a princess. The young boy/girl slave/master homoerotic/transexual theme was downright WEIRD!
