Be sure to squeeze in a Cultural Geography course. Let me tell the story. In my CG course, every class day (Tuesdays and Thursdays) to start class, we watch a short film and write what cultural aspects can be taken from it. Well, up until today they had been pretty usual, but, on this day, my professor showed something I didn't expect. He showed, un-MSTed, "Junior Rodeo Daredevils". I am not joking about this. I couldn't even write an analysis. I was too busy laughing hysterically and throwing in riffs. I told my prof about this after the class and he was also amused. He says he's seen the show, but, never seen that short. He did say that there were two MST3K shorts left on his list, so, I'd be prepared. A Day At the Fair and Catching Trouble. The reason I posted this is because of what he told me afterwards. He said that many CG and Anthropology profs across the U.S. use this same list of short films to show to their classes for this exercise.
So, if you want some fun in college, take some Cultural Geography, you won't regret it. (Unless you get a prof who doesn't show these, then you're screwed)

Maybe if you get lucky, you can watch "A Date With Your Family" as a part of a primitive anthropology course.
That short....is just....wrong...

You should request 'Cheating'. Although, if there were any kids thinking of suicide in your class, it would put them over the edge.

You should request 'Cheating'. Although, if there were any kids thinking of suicide in your class, it would put them over the edge. Or maybe "Mr. B. Natural" as a part of a "Gender and Society" course. OK I'll shut up now... |

Yeah, I believe I'll ask them to add this to the list of films they show in psychology classes. I mean, if you can endure the psychological beatdown that the poor kid in that short is given, then, well, you're a superhuman because they really messed with his head.
