Has anyone ever watched Viva la Bam on MTV? I can watch that show. That and Trigger Happy TV are funny. Haven't seen Viva la Bam yet, I'm sure i'll surf across it soon- Sorry, you, TriggerHappy TV is just not my thing-I tried and tried, just couldn't stick with this one. And I usually love the "imports" on CC-Gerhard Weinke's Wanderlust was great, TravelSick was pretty good- Something about THTV just didn't click with me. Aren't you glad I let you in on these shocking facts?

Sorry, you, TriggerHappy TV is just not my thing-I tried and tried, just couldn't stick with this one. I tried watching that once, I think I liked it but the music was so damn annoying I never bothered watching it again.

Red Dwarf is pretty funny, but I saw it a long time ago, so it may be even funnier to me now. I'll have to rent an episode some day. Definitely check out some Red Dwarf episodes. Hilarious stuff, with some great action too.

I kinda feel like Red Dwarf is what Mike and the Bots would be without the movies. Watchable.

This thread is the scariest thread ever. I DONT WANTA KNOW ANYMORE.
BobJohnson, I have no idea what you're talking about. Some of these shows pander to the lowest people in America (and kids), and you want me to think that MST3K makes me hate stuff.
Here's some of my real reasons then, since you didn't like my joke about it on the other thread:
SNL = uses depressing and media-fueled "comedy" to entertain kids, and adults with a lame sense of humor and a serious lack of sanity.
NYPD Blue = a beautiful opera of crime. Something the world doesn't need is crime, and it makes crime seem relevant and necessary.
South Park = oooo, cutting edge use of language (but it's just butt jokes).
Friends = I just don't like it, it makes me feel depressed.
No one ever listens to you or me anyway Bob. I'm just trying to show off to the people that understand me, and I don't know if there are any.

While I see your point on NYPD Blue, I don't think that it makes it seem "necessary". Crime is a reality, and we have to get used to that idea. Trying to wish it away by cancelling shows based on it is pretty nieve, if you ask me.

I have to stand up and defend South Park for a second here. If you think it's just naughty language and butt jokes then you either don't watch the show, (which I'm betting on), haven't watched the show since season 1, or don't understand the show.
In my opinion no show on television offers extremely valid messages and commentary about life and society in as entertaining a way as South Park does. The show is definitely offensive and perhaps shocking at times, but it always addresses current issues in a manner that's not only hilarious, but surprisingly fair minded as well. Just look at some of the episodes that have aired only this season, each with a very valid and reasonable viewpoint.
The Passion of the Jew: It's okay to be Christian, but focus on what Jesus taught, not on how he got killed.
Up the Down Steroid: Using steroids in professional sports invalidates what an athlete has accomplished. It's like pretending to be handicapped and entering the special olympics.
The Jeffersons: It's important for parents to understand that what their children need from them is to be a parent, not to be another playmate.
